What is the worst batch of companions in an RPG?

For discussing role-playing video games, you know, the ones with combat.

Not necessarily the game with the worst individual companion, but one with a collection of them so horrendous you have trouble filling out your active party.

I wouldn't accept any of them.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

Outer Worlds is pretty awful there's not a single character that's not ugly and subversive. I can't recall really liking anyone from Inquisition besides Cullen either.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Pathfinder WotR is full of unlikeable alphabet snowflakes.

There are like fifteen potential companions, and only two of them aren't insufferable twats.

All the games I would list have at least 1 character that is salvageable, and so it's pretty much impossible to say they're awful.

But realistically BG3 has some of the most obnoxious companions of any game I've played recently.

Where to even start?

ME: Andromeda is probably the worst tho, fr fr, no cap.

No, wait, it's DA: Inquisition.

Or maybe Pathfinder: WoTR.

Or TOW.

You know what, they're all garbo.

disagree, they had a few good companions and probably one of the few decent parts of the game
Dorian was surprisingly not annoying despite being gay. Also got Blackwall & Varric.

Not the best lineup, sure, but not bad enough you can't form a party of decent guys.

it's a tie between Andromeda and The Outer Worlds - but the former takes the cake at the end since latter at least lets you skip on companions with decent perks for solo runs and even some reactivity with occasional unique dialogue.

Veilguard may possibly have the most aesthetically unappealing characters I have ever laid eyes on. How can a member of the art direction look at this and think this looks good. One of the reason why people like the art designs for games like Overwatch is because there are some decent waifu character designs in that game. This game is as unappealing aesthetically as Apex Legends which is also another game published by EA. Funny that.

That's true. It's a shame his personal quest is literally "my daddy wanted to try conversion therapy on me to cure my gayness." Otherwise he's much more reasonable and less insufferable mage companion than Vivienne.
Also, give him a gangster (as in 30s-40s mobster) moustache and he doesn't even look that gay.

And Blizzard then spent the better part of 8 years not capitalizing on this by only releasing ugly character, and oftentimes actively trying to undermine the sex appeal of the already present, and quite popular, characters.

The only Overwatch character I found to be particularly attractive was D.va (who was a recolored clone of Asuka from Evangelion). Unfortunately her personality ruined her with the game streamer girl thing and the meme speak. I guess Mercy and Mei were kinda okay. OW had some cool designs, though, like Reaper, Reinhardt in his huge power armor suit, Hanzo, Mercy with her wing suit, young captain Morrison with his blue trenchcoat and eyepiece, and old sniper grandma Ana.

I think Tracer is very cute and appealing.
I know she's "supposed" to be a lesbian, but I've seen her take a lot of **** and very clearly enjoy it, so I don't buy it.

Does the guy on the left panel in the video go to the same barber as Billy Mitchell?

It has the same effect on me as when I try to watch BG3 gameplay. I can't bear huehue to watch more than a few seconds.

I unironically used to watch this as it was airing. I lasted until Episode 63-64-ish of Campaign 3. But the last 100 or so episodes I was purely hate-watching.
I have a whole Critical Role folder for the /crg/ threads on /tg/. Except the show got so bad that there's hasn't been a /crg/ thread for months.
I also wanted to collect pieces of fuckawful fanart to torture anons by exposing them to it, but couldn't stomach sifting through all the ****. I got like a dozen before giving up.
► WARNING! A WALL OF DISTURBING IMAGES
As much as I am disgusted by these, I am strangely fascinated by them. The fact that somebody drew one of these and genuinely thought "Yeah, that's a great piece of art. I've done good and brought some beauty to this world." is so weird to me. It's like trying to imagine how birds see the magnetic field, so alien that it's nearly impossible.

It's your duty to knock one of the two dozen bumpfag magic system threads off the board and resurrect /crg/ that you may enlighten /tg/ with all this sublime artwork.
