I thought it looked better than most games in this genre, but I really don't like the masks.

The character models really bother me for some reason. PS2-like graphics

I played the demo for this over the weekend. It's pretty much Terreria from an overhead view, which I prefer.

It keeps being compared to Core Keeper. I don't know anything about it.

whoa, this game is turbo-autism tier

think "your gear gets wet and each has its own rate of rusting, you collect dirt in grams, and have to break sticks down into twigs" autism
you're going to spend half an hour just setting up a campsite to boil water to make it drinkable

This is arguably in a separate "survival-crafter simulator" genre, extensive systemic mechanics you won't find elsewhere(AFAIK, anyways)

Are there any of these survival craft slop games where you can be an elf?
I'm just stating the facts.

Smalland Survive the Wilds has some long-eared race that you can play but they also have insect like antennas

I've started playing this. It's extremely charming but holy **** is being a tiny little elf fella surrounding by huge *** bugs terrifying.

Oh yeah, worse about the game is the bugs are quite realistic. There are different kinds of Spiders and they move, sound and behave like the real things.

The fact you're playing a cute little elf also triggers my protective instincts so I really don't want to watch one get eaten by giant ****** up beetles

how does it not seem to bother people when a game is as racially diverse as london?
https://enshrouded.wiki.gg/wiki/Survivors

It completely destroys my immersion
Going to guess it's because libs don't really understand genetics

every single game is exactly the same: racially and gender diverse FOLX doing FOLX things

I really hate how these games deal with 'equipping' items by having them be on hotbars. No idea why they all copy it rather than a regular equipment system that has worked forever.

It's hard for the moderns to understand a time before casual air travel enabled people to end up in any random place in the world in under 24 hours. Thus, they do not understand just how insanely difficult it would be for someone of an entirely different ethnic and cultural background to show up in a distant area in an area in a world that does NOT have casual air travel, or even casual land and sea travel. For someone like that to show up would require him to travel thousands of miles on foot or horseback, crossing through multiple territories that all speak different languages. Nobody who does not have this sort of thing as their job description (foreign diplomat, caravan merchant, or travelling circus performer), is gonna do that. So while it's fine and good to allow diverse choices for player characters, as you cannot tell me that a band consisting of a strongman, a lion tamer, a magician, and an acrobat is NOT a circus, it doesn't make much sense for NPCs.

This is on sale, if you consider yourself a fan of really in-depth simulations consider giving it a look. I'm only aware of a couple games with similar depth.
