Who is responsible for BG3 being pozzed?
I'm more and more convinced that you can definitely judge a book by its cover and the saying which tells you that you can't was penned by one if these hideous creatures. I pity @you for having to work with them. I'd probably hand in my resignation pretty quickly if faced with such a situation.

**** as well... they turn everything to ****.
On another note, some of the devs must REALLY hate children. Probably abortion activists too.

Take a look at the Arabella scene. Whoever decided that should even BE in the game must be a Satanic monster.

Larian is a Belgium studio, that is all the reason one needs. Belgium is the most pozzed and liberal country in Europe and the literal home of the EU globohomo. Of course a developer from there will be full of mentally ill libs that want to add all the diversity and degeneracy into it because the culture of the region in question will dominate.

This thread is about the pozzedness, not the mechanics. Most would agree that BG3 is elite in terms of technical proficiency and has some great fight scenarios. In terms of cultural content, it hews close to the Netflix Original/HBO/Amazon Prime Original formula.rusty_shackleford wrote: β June 2nd, 2024, 09:21Calling BG3 a "netflix original" is serious cope, it's one of the best RPGs made in years. I'd go as far to say there is no other RPG ever made that handles reactivity as well as BG3 does.
If we want to talk about how "good" the game is though, how good can an RPG really be when all of the companions are poorly written, unlikable slop with dialogue trees littered with homosexual landmines (and if you step around them, the ****** companions will be constantly hitting on you anyways). Even disregarding that, the main story is pretty terrible on its own. And there is also the convoluted, terribly paced third act. Great gameplay, but the game isn't well-rounded. Good gameplay + good writing trumps great gameplay + terrible writing.

I have 173 hours in it and honestly, I wouldn't. I mean, technically ? Yeah cutscenes and dialogue scenes are impressive. The game itself barely looks better than DOS2 and is awfully optimized in comparison.DDC wrote: β June 3rd, 2024, 05:45Most would agree that BG3 is elite in terms of technical proficiency and has some great fight scenarios.
Great fight scenarios ? Maybe in hard difficulties but I was literally steamrolling everything on normal. I would say DOS2 was actually better in that aspect.
RPG elements and "reactivity" were also mentioned as unrefutably brilliant. I would disagree on that too. What I saw was a story that was locked on rails from the beginning and never truly let me make actually meaningful choices. It sure pretended to though, but when killing the Emperor during the Orpheus fight gave me a Game Over I knew it really didn't.
You have to remember that this guy was one of rusty's assets, so rusty knows if what he said was true.Atlantico wrote: β June 2nd, 2024, 21:50Yuri was full of **** btwrusty_shackleford wrote: β June 2nd, 2024, 03:26You mean that infiltration and subversion might be something that is self-perpetuating? However, an important piece of context is that Tencent appears to own what's called a "preference" share, meaning that Tencent doesn't have voting rights when it comes to Larian's decision making. The rest of the company belongs to CEO and Founder Swen Vincke and his wife.
Still tho the devs WANTED this regardless, especially the Californian contractors.
Did some digging.
Preference shares not having voting rights isn't entirely true.
Almost every finance site states that "typically" preference shares don't come with voting power.

It depends entirely on the company who issued the preference shares, and how they drafted the preference share issue. I think.
There are probably more examples.
Feel free to correct me If I am wrong.

Even if they don't have ANY "rights" though it doesn't really matter, because the money itself still talks. Threaten to pull it and/or give no more, and the devs will be on their knees anyway.
I agree with you, it was just that statement about how preference shares don't give you voting rights seemed so suspicious.BobT wrote: β June 3rd, 2024, 17:00Even if they don't have ANY "rights" though it doesn't really matter, because the money itself still talks. So that means that Tencent does indeed have a lot of influence in Larian's decision making.
Which means sentinel was full of **** about how Tencent has zero influence.

You can't play ******-mode and then complain that the game was too easy. I played tactician (honor wasn't available yet) and the early/mid game has a lot of challenging and enjoyable fights that are nonetheless beatable. Eventually even tactician gets too easy, but there was a lot of fun gameplay before that point.pokafox wrote: β June 3rd, 2024, 14:29

I think DOS2 has to be easier because I was able to beat it coop on the hardest difficulty with my then-girlfriend. She did not know what she was doing and rolled gimped "hybrid" characters with Frankenstein builds, and I was still able to carry her with an optimized archer and dual wield warrior. I doubt I could have carried two dead-weight characters through BG3.

"am told by Moraney that there is a full time working population on the moon
of 35,000 people, and that they are all Ari-ans by birth
(i need to add here those were [literally] liquified not so long ago btw after they repaired some of remnant tech there).
In the UFO literature that is going out, we are told that there are a lot of different groups. This the
part that makes me nervous. According to Moraney, and this is the Andromedan perspective, inside that
National Security Agency there is a group called The Black Monks. These are human beings, but they
completely interact with all of the extraterrestrials. Moraney has said that these humans are so implanted
with extraterrestrial belief systems that they are no longer considered to be Earth humans. Underneath the
Black Monks, there is what is called Blue Moon. Now, I understand that the name of this changes from time
to time, but Blue Moon is primarily deals with the lunar bases. This group is composed of Americans,
Russians, British and French. Now, above the NSA itself are bankers. All they had to do to create this stuff
is the money. Those of you who have researched the Federal Reserve know how easy it is to create the
money.
Project Blue Moon
Blue Moon deals with technological development, and this is connected with what is going on in the
Manzano mountains, especially those projects connected with the Department of Energy that are to be used
on the moon. Under Blue Moon there is a group called Alpha One and Alpha Two. I am not real clear about
what Alpha One does, but my understanding is that it has to do with globally gathering materials and
making sure that the population doesn't get spooked. Alpha Two deals with personnel. It was their job to
make sure that the 35,000 people on the moon had the type of belief system they wanted, and the
colonists on Mars also had the belief systems they wanted - even if they didn't want to go. According to
Moraney, Alpha Two is MJ-12. So, what we think is the top of the ladder, MJ-12, is actually the bottom of
the ladder. That is what Moraney says. I have no way to verify this."
