Theres also the fact that paladin is one of the easiest classes to multiclass. A 2 level dip gets you so much.
Plus I have noticed the idea of oaths and tenets have made the class much more interesting. I truly think that 5e paladins are the best thing to come out of that edition, it expanded the class so much while giving every single variation its own personality. Oaths are not just diffently flavoured paladins, entire experience changes with every oath.
It's also a class where you can manage spell slots by treating them all in the same way: smite damage.
People very very much want to play a blaster caster and Paladin is the closest thing to that in a way. There aren't really passives or feats that would allow you to build a caster around casting empowered magic missiles all day long.
Deeply disappointed that my 100% original do not steal cleric build is affected by a bug.
6 Tempest Cleric / 3 Sorcerer / 1 Wizard / 2 ???
Sorcerer for quickened spell. Tempest for Call Lightning (like fireball but can be cast over and over with one spell slot). Wizard for Conjure Elemental (which would be better if it could apply wet instead of chill).
The bug is that subsequent casts of "activate call lightning" use charisma instead of wisdom for the save DC. Since this is the key spell for tempest cleric we can assume the build was never tested.
Had this been working properly it would involve 2-3 call lightning casts per turn at level 12.
There are still quite a few bugs left, nothing of course like in Kangmaker, mostly cosmetically. but still annoying. At least it looks like I got my pants back at night. edit: no, I didn't
especially in bg3. action surge is ridiculously good.
Although 3 attacks is nice, there are other ways to get those cheaper than sinking 11 levels into fighter. Action surge really shines when it can be combined with other classes. For example, to cast a spell.
Thief 3 / Gloomstalker 5 / Fighter 2 = 7 attacks in first round
Thief 3 / Swords Bard 6 / Fighter 2 = 10 attacks in first round
I'm sure monk could go higher, but they are house ruled out of my campaign.
The most annoying bug is that at some point everyone is outlined. Yeah I might smash TAB way to hard, but still, its annoying. Bit odd that none of the bugs were addressed in the first 2 patches. I am also still run around naked in camp.
Combat is quite fun surprisingly, sadly the game gets dragged down by the plot and much poorer encounter design in act 3. While you can ignore most of it for the first two parts of the game larian dropped the ball by the end of it. Very frustrating because 30% to 40% of the game is excellent.
Now imagine if she chose a hair color that didn't remind you of your grandma.
There are some choices you can make in regards to Shadowheart that result in her changing her hair to white. This is her paying tribute to that choice.

So like the other D:OS games.

Was there supposed to be a scene for this? In my game she just randomly had white hair all of the sudden and it felt incredibly disjointed. My entire playthrough has been full of disjointed **** like this and it really ruined things for me.

I helped her become a justiciar and the same voice line plays but all she did was adjust her bangs slightly.
