Anyone willing to mod the woke out of Hogwarts Legacy?

Post by Nobere »

Now that modding is coming to Hogwarts Legacy is there anyone willing to mod the woke out?

You know, get rid of the transgender bartender and married lesbian couple?

I would finally give this game a try if that did happen. But take into account that interest in the game, along with modding it, has faded over time.
I do remember there's already a mod to change the ******'s voice tho. :read:

This mod at least fixes a few things. Some are well done, some not so much.

viewtopic.php?p=37564

At least it makes it more fun just running around Hogwarts without a ****** jumpscare at every corner.

If it's not too fuckey like Skyrim was, I could give modding this a try. I wanted to love this game but I had to drop it before finishing. If the bad version of the "villain's bar" bartender from Shrek can be either removed or completely changed it would be already a step forward, as mods changing him to have a female voice just add to his delusion that he is a woman in my opinion, and I'd rather him be made out to be a fool or replaced with a new character alltogether.
There is also a quest where you are forced to pick up notes of him telling his story of trannery, and they auto-equip to be read when picked up. Then there is the continuous "go back to the bartender, he will know!", forcing the story to have him as the in-between just to shove him down your throat every so often before you forget he exists.

Will there be anything left of the game after you've modded the woke out of it? :pipe-thinking:

I believe there should be, though there are A LOT of lesbians and women everywhere that I recall for side-quests. Those will probably take a while to comb out of the game.

I played the game for a couple hours, the game is exceedingly boring. The combat, the dialogue, your milquetoast player character, IMO it's a futile act... the game just isn't good

Hasn't since launch. Think it was the last or second-last crack Empress did before the estrogen fully consumed his brain.

The creation kit thing finished installing, but it seems to be Unreal Engine with a coat of paint, so to speak. I am not seeing anything that allows to modify existing quests for now, only to create new things. Will explore it more when I will feel like trying to wrap my head around all this stuff that I am seeing as I never even saw Unreal before, but for now it seems to be nothing like the likes of the Creation Kit for Skyrim or those for Fallout, Oblivion and Morrowind (with which I have more experience).

What the game truly, desperately needs is a bullying mechanic.

Be a proper Slytherin and make the Hufflepuffs ACK themselves, call other students "mudblood", go on a tirade about goblin bankers (before unleashing the killing spell on a gathering of them), torture the ****** and **** in the school into becoming normal again.

The possibilities are endless.

Gods... Is just having mudblood in the player vocabulary really too much to ask? :notsureif:

Doubt the mod manager will let you add your own sounds and gameplay systems. But the core game doesnt have much to offer except the combat and the castle anyway. Someone surely would need to devote himself to modding this for years to make it it none woke and add interesting edgy dynamics, so that npcs actually react to what you are doing. But I guess it could get some replayability if you could get certain spells before the end of the game and if you can attack every none quest related npc.

For anyone interested, I found that the editor seems to be able to edit NPCs (with preview to match, textures too) and, alongside that, I found conversation, animation and lip-synch files. They can be imported and edited seemingly faily easily, but I am unsure if they will have an effect in-game and what effect might they have. I was able to make the barista match reality and be the man he has always been, for example. The whole thing froze on me when I clicked to open a conversation with him to try and edit it, but it seems these things CAN be edited. I can't be sure on the effects without being able to open the thing, but I am keen on believing this game could be quite more moddable than I thought.
That all said, I never modded for others, so if anyone that is truly capable of such things wishes to look into it, I can give my files if needed or things like that, but otherwise I myself am just pulling at strings and see what moves.

If I can be of any help do let me know, I will keep the thing installed in the meanwhile but I truly cannot seem to be able to open the conversations :scratch: I am at your disposal, even though my knowledge truly is very limited with this.

I know this game is old news at this point but I've always wanted to play it and have been put off by the forced diversity. Now that it has official mod support, are there any mods that fix the demographics of this 19th century Scotland setting?

Changes the model of one African character to be white while keeping her backstory and accent, just edits the skin color of other NPCs to make them albino. It's not great.

It's not.

But as I mentioned in another thread, just running through Hogwarts doing random **** without 2025 London demographics is already a big improvement.

Do you know if it's possible to build the mod without having to go through Curseforge's moderation and cloud build system? @DagothGeas5
I edited Professor Fig to be black just to test the toolkit, but couldn't find a local build option

Problems I've had with the game and I can recall are:
- OnlyCloaks as loot;
- too much women as teachers;
- too much subhuman races, godsdamn teachers included;
- non-white accents;
- cut origins for the MC;
- lack of reactions from NPCs (part of a more larger problem of the game feeling massively unfinished and empty);
- as mentioned, Sirona being the center of attention in every quest;
- Sirona looking like a *****;
- Natsai and the ****** from Ravenclaw I didn't care to google to write his name.

I like the idea making Natsai (additionally, her mother) an albino. Double middle finger to the DEI - and Griffindor uniform compliments red eyes. But then comes more pending issues with her character that make her the insufferable **** she is - her caca accent, her stories of Ooga-Booga Banana land's superiority and tone of voice she uses, this overly excited kind of talking like you're watching Dora or a Hasbro cartoon, but ghetto version.

I am completely out of my element on this loregamer, I have no idea I am sorry :sad:
I usually brute force things and then replace the files by manually placing them into the games' folder.
