Is this game actually out for everyone, or just for the paypigs? The numbers look very sad, even though on surface it looks like a Bethesda Fallout-like game.

Also somehow none of the big FPS-focused youtubers (like shillmanlives for example) have made their videos yet.
It's on gamepass + it's not what people expected.

Sorry, nobody actually wants a 10 minute long "REPLAYABLE!" game. It has been tried again, and again, and again and it's stupid. Make a real game.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I doubt a bait and switch "it's not actually like fallout 4!" would affect sales like that. No one popular even made videos exposing the game as short.

TOW wasn't a New Vegas like game, yet it enjoyed decent press coverage and sold very well.

I don't know anything about their budget, but I would assume they didn't aim for anything in the F4 range. It was never supposed to be some sort of mainstream megahit.

Gamepass is the next-level cope for sad failed games.

Finished it. It's actually not too bad. Sure, it's pretty underdeveloped. Stealth, crafting, survival its barely there. AI is crap, thus combat as well. But what is good is exploration. No quest markers. You can place markers yourself, but even then you are only pointed in a very general direction. 5 larger areas to explore. I found it most fun to not worry about any quest but just to explore and see what I can find.

Also nice, you can kill every NPC. That's at least one use for the telephone. You can still win the game with every other option killed (I think, didn't read it up). There are in general many ways to actually beat the game. It's pretty open in that regard.

Rebellion’s brand new IP set in the north of England is the company’s most successful launch in its 32-year history, it said. Rebellion is the developer behind the popular Sniper Elite series of games, as well as the spin-off Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army entries.

“We are delighted that so many players are enjoying Atomfall,” said Jason Kingsley CBE, CEO and co-founder of Rebellion.

“To have surpassed the 1 million players in such a short space of time speaks volumes for the creativity and dedication of the entire team here at Rebellion. Our size and stability mean that we can take risks to create something as different as Atomfall. Happily, that risk is paying off.

“We are a British company, and the game is a true reflection of that. Not only is it set in the lush, beautiful countryside but Atomfall also draws inspiration from so many classic British books, films and TV series.

“We hope that players continue to enjoy exploring the world of Atomfall and are looking forward to future content for the game.”

Not sure if it's actually successful, or they are coping. The "1 million players" number doesn't matter much since the game is on Gamepass.

Every game has 6 billion players now! We're all rich!
Please ignore the leaks showing internal meltdowns at Xbox studios over gamepass being incredibly unprofitable

But unlike other gamepass fodder games, this one was probably quite a bit cheaper to make. Compared to Indy, this one makes a lot more sense for gamepass.

Was liking the video until he said they cut it to leave the rest for Patreon only :? Truly a shame as these things are quite interesting.

He can **** off. I won’t watch the video out of spite.

Rather him just make the whole video exclusively on patreon then to deliberately cut the video short as a shameless plug to make people subscribe to his patreon.

I guess you could say it Atomfalls below expectations oh!
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
