Seriously, what the actual fuck?
Numbers increasing over 10 years is unheard of.

Is the normie gamer actually that retarded?
All of the top games are competitive twitch-reflex nonsense.

Nice, it's a fun multiplayer game.

We used to play in LAN Houses back in college with beers before going out to parties/clubs.

It's free, it's easy to run, it's regularly updated with new content, and it has the most profitable gacha mechanics I've ever seen where I personally know multiple people who've opened loot boxes and received items worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Feel free to explain why you think it's mindless

easy to run is the key thing.

there's a reason CS 1.6 was so insanely popular in Eastern Europe and South America in particular - shit could run on a toaster compared to Call of Duty or Battlefield (and Halo wasn't even much of a thing since most people didn't have Xbox to begin with).

It's mindless because you don't have to think to play. You can play it completely drunk, ask me how I know.

This game is easy, no twitch reflexes needed. Just use the R8 revolver and spam right mouse button. Guaranteed results regardless of effort level or skill.

Asians won't touch anything that doesn't have waifus plastered all over it. Europe absolutely dominated the player count in terms of percentage back during CS2 beta (nearly 3/4 of all players), and the CS esports scene is relatively tiny in China compared to shit like Crossfire or even Valorant.

Holy fuck.
So there's gambling mechanics.
Unethical abuse of the dopamine cycle.

This has always genuinely confused me as well. I feel like something dubious has to be going on.

It's called gambling and it's the reason blackjack and roulette are popular after decades despite being fairly simple games.

I miss going on fpsbanana.com and downloading a skin that turns your grenades into puppies where you twist their head off instead of pulling the pin :(
I miss custom sprays :(
I miss guns not looking like gay toys :(
But I did like the update where they let you manually place stickers on your guns :)

Fifteen years ago less than 10% of India had the internet. Now it's 50%.
