I don't think patch 5 is the final version either, but it's clear that they did not use the same face even throughout EA

Unsure if you guys plan on doing anything about this, but I thought I'd make a thread in support for it.
Also thought you might like the reference image in the second quote, as presumably you'd use the original model(?)

Companions are not going to be overhauled as part of RR Aesthetics. But we talked already before about making companion adjustments later on as a standalone.
First, ironing out most of the bugs in RR though. Companions in general, including Minthara, have multiple entries tackling their looks so you can pick and choose.

Might have to mine the old EA build(s) for the original head to compare?
Some posts seem to imply it's the same head, but it does not look like that to me. Maybe the lighting/hair is just really throwing me off.

I'll have a look at some point. Probably not as part of this mod tho.
