Time to **** on each other and show the trite you consider your favorites.

Mine is largely based on childhood favorites or games I consider to have good replayibility.

1. TES III: Morrowind
Image

2. LOZ: Majora's Mask
(Highly recommend the recent recompiled native PC port)
Image

3. Kenshi
Image

4. Divinity Original Sin II
Image

5. Gothic 1&2
Image

6. Paper Mario
Image

7. Age Of Empires II (still suck at it after decades)
Image

8. Monster Hunter: XX (Combination of all the old school MH)
Image

9. Fallout: New Vegas
Image

10. Super Smash Bros: Melee (being a kid during the first several years after release was amazing. the competitive scene and going to venues will never be relived)

Might make some enemies with this but this was a crappy tier list I made a few years back to keep track of what I liked. (Any single game that's part of a series represents the whole series, like Halo and Bioshock.)

Extreme kino.

To add to that, based on my views

Mount & Blade: Warband

Dragons Dogma (Dark Arisen)

And, the greatest game of all time...

Nice to see someone else who knows it. I'm just hoping they don't give up or forget about it. It was such a pleasant surprise to stumble across

Kino is just German for Cinema, and it's a term autists use to say something is good.

You know those games that 15 year olds make up in their heads that seem fun but just aren't feisible to make (whoa imagine if in fallout you could travel to the moon and learn moonspeak to incite a war between humans and aliens and then get rich selling weapons)?

Arcanum is that. Someone actually made that ****.

Rise of the Reds is much of the same but for RTSes, though it's not a finished game so I can't give it the same amount of credit.

I remember having some gripes with Arcanum when I got it back in 2003. But mods that fix the bugs and some rebalances make it one of the best CRPGs out there.

It's highly flawed and rickety, yes, but it runs circles around the competition in many aspects. I also considered underrail for the 3x3, but picked Arcanum because it's the more unique game of the two.

Still haven't gotten around to playing Underrail. Sitting in my backlog. Heard it can be daunting.

I will not hear your foolish, churlish insults to Ultima V and Exile III !!!
(On other lists, legitimate debate can be had.)

My fav 10 games fluctuates based on my whims and mood but here's what i got for now.

In no particular order:

Dragon age origins: **** the haters, it still holds up.
Battle brothers: Got inspired to replay it due to an ongoing lp, seems to be holding up great as a game i can keep revisiting and have as much fun as when i played it the first time around. Normally i get bored of games before i can finish them but can always make it to at least the first crisis with bb.
Xcom with mods like xpiratez: maybe one day i will finish an xpiratez run, but for now it remains my gaming moby ****
DBZ budokai 3: best fighting game EVAR as far as i'm concerned, partly influenced by how much good times i've had with this title, played it during boarding school and played it at uni, and has a god tier ost even if, or perhaps because most of the songs were plagiarised.
Baldurs gate 2 with mods: Those who know me know i like my companion mods and bg2 remains the king of that. Mods like randomised items also helps keep each run fresh and is something i wish more games did so i don't just beeline for the best weapons or have some optimised route to follow.
Troubleshooter abandoned children: Satisfies my tactical rpg itch quite well.
Total warhammer 3 (with mods): I wanted to put one of the older total wars for street cred but the truth is despite tw3 being a downgrade in many ways, my warhammer fanboyism wins over my common sense.
Mount and blade 1: I hope in time to replace the 1 with a 2 but somehow i keep going back to the 1st game and its much more developped mod scene.
Airships conquer the skies: I liked playing lego as a kid and this game is basically that: build ships out of things and then watch them fight.
Breath of fire 3: still my overall favorite jrpg although admittedly i really liked dragon quest IX so either one of those 2.

guess I'll do 10 because I can

Albion(1996)
Fallout 2(1998)
Wizardry 8(2001)
Divine Divinity(2002)
(PC RPGs had a very rough decade here due to publishers forsaking PC)
Twitcher (2007)
(Brief period of good RPGs)
Divinity II: Developer's Cut(2012)
Divinity: Original Sin(2014)
(Another rough decade for PC rpgs due to homosexuals)
Technomancer(2016)
ATOM RPG+ATOM Trudograd(2018+2021)
Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos(2021)

I still have a lot of ~pre-2005 RPGs I want to play. Also, I almost exclusively play RPGs.

Starting to regret not fitting in Wiz8, it's the only one of the series i keep coming back to every few years and consider it king of the blobbers.

I guess the one thing holding it back from a recurrent top 10 fav games spot for me is the enemies on the road scaling to your level, made it too much of an unavoidable slog unless i had a team planned for it with lots of teleport spells to make tp points.

Wiz 8 is a great game. I am partial to Wiz 7, but I do remember being on the Sir Tech forums and being among many to pester them to release the game (They were actually considering not releasing it). I had to order it directly from them to get my copy, though eventually it slowly filtered into the retail stores.
