CoH emulator is fine afaik.
The issue is EQ emulators aren't worth playing on because EQ is so hard to datamine. Nearly everything important is stored server side.

Marco was running it into the ground last I checked (years ago), but when Laz was in charge it was an amazing mod.

Do mods even work with D2:R?
D2:R is baseline requirement b/c of controller support.
