I had BC back in the day, but never even made it to Outland. The vanilla leveling was punishing enough. Looking to finally progress through it with the upcoming anniversary.mynameismortis wrote: ↑ January 22nd, 2026, 08:59How many of you have played tbc here?Is the grind time consuming as vanilla's?

Grind for what? You'll hit max level before you run out of questing zones.mynameismortis wrote: ↑ January 22nd, 2026, 08:59How many of you have played tbc here?Is the grind time consuming as vanilla's?

I recall being able to enter Karazhan in quest blues and then filling gaps that the raids didn't drop with items (including weapon) from heroic dungeon currency.mynameismortis wrote: ↑ January 22nd, 2026, 19:09For gearing, for rep etc.J1M wrote: ↑ January 22nd, 2026, 16:58Grind for what? All raids are being released in a nerfed state so you can just do them naked
Found out there are hours where you could make horde characters in the pvp realm, for the guy who talked he cant make character check the pvp realm discord they announce when its open
Isn't it based on the ratio to alliance characters? The count probably gets calculated hourly.
Edit: Try creating a thousand free alliance accounts

Do people actually give a **** about Mythic+ parses? Dude in my guild is flexing all of his 99 parses, but I don't want to break his heart and tell him that they don't mean much.

No one cares about parses (just don't get outdpsed by the tank and the healer and you're good). People only care about timing the key. The only stat that some autists obsess over is your ratio of timed keys to total keys ran. The Youtuber OneAzerothTV has been PUGging M+ every day for years and has an excel spreadsheet documenting every single PUG, who he did it with, the spec comps, and the reason for the disband, and bargraphs tracking everything over the years. Tldr is that M+ PUGing got really bad by Shadowlands with most competent players (particularly tanks) having made friends or formed their own discords or community channels to recruit people from, and do not engage with the public LFG pugging pool. The remainder of the PUGing pool is overall more insane. Circa Dragonflight, it was common for people to just quit keys if they didn't think they would time it because they didn't want it to look bad on their raider.io record. But that ties into the broader problem where a lot of people in the remaining PUG population don't really want to get better by practicing the mechanics. They just want to shuffle through groups until the stars align and they get carried.buttfucker 3000 wrote: ↑ January 26th, 2026, 11:31Do people actually give a **** about Mythic+ parses? I care about parses, but only the ones that matter. So raid parses, which I actively chased this season.Val the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ January 26th, 2026, 11:45No one cares about parses. I was top 80 in the world on WW monk at one point this season, and I could’ve gone way higher if I’d actually kept playing.
It just irks me when people flex their M+ parses, when all you really have to do to get a high parse in M+ is time a high key. Fucks sake we literally have a woman in our guild who does grey parse damage in our raids, but has orange and pink parses in m+.
I'll add that the guy who is flexing is still not even ranked in the top 3000 for m+ despite having all the 99's. Because literally everyone has 99's.

Is there an HQ WoW guild that will be raiding or battlegrounding in midnight?

why would there be? You have US and EU people here and you cannot play the game as an EU player with an US player (and vice versa) unless you buy the EU/US version.

I really love parsing too, definitely the funnest part of raiding for me. It's especially fun as a healer to do dumb 1 or 2 heal comps for parsing while farming heroicbuttfucker 3000 wrote: ↑ January 26th, 2026, 11:54I care about parses, but only the ones that matter. According to the TOS, everyone here is American.Finarfin wrote: ↑ January 29th, 2026, 19:39why would there be? You have US and EU people here and you cannot play the game as an EU player with an US player (and vice versa) unless you buy the EU/US version.
Also, it's probably fine if there is a real guild on US servers and and alliance guild on EU.
I could create a community that anyone on NA can join. I'll probably only be subbed after Midnight's launch for a month or two, maybe do some RBGs, maybe do some delves and M+. I'd tour the raid on normal difficulty to see it once but never do it each week.J1M wrote: ↑ January 29th, 2026, 19:35Is there an HQ WoW guild that will be raiding or battlegrounding in midnight?
Problem with guild is that you have to leave your current guild to join another one. You can't be in multiple WoW guilds at the same time on one character like in GW2, and I don't want my tauren main to quit his RP guild. Though I guess if we really want the guild branding, I could join on my panda main.J1M wrote: ↑ January 29th, 2026, 19:56According to the TOS, everyone here is American.Finarfin wrote: ↑ January 29th, 2026, 19:39why would there be? Sounds like my expected play pattern as well.Val the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ January 29th, 2026, 20:55I could create a community that anyone on NA can join. I don't have an active subscription, but there's a free weekend starting now that I will probably use to check out the new DH spec and clear out my bags.
**** everyone who whined about having 5 talents that gave 1% crit each. The increasing layers of obfuscation over the limited character customization options provide no value.

Always felt like talent trees were a very meh idea anyways, in an MMO that is. 98% of people of the same spec are going to use identical talents anyways.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I was called a contrarian for saying that I preferred the MoP talent trees that cut out the fluff and only presented you with the options that actually mattered. Having to mouse over all of these +1 STR nodes to find and path to the nodes that I actually want is time consuming and not that fun. Elaborate talent trees look nice at a glance or in your mind but are not actually fun to deal with in gameplay.J1M wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2026, 05:20**** everyone who whined about having 5 talents that gave 1% crit each. Yes, but if you tell them they are unique they don't cancel their subscription.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ January 31st, 2026, 05:23Always felt like talent trees were a very meh idea anyways, in an MMO that is. 98% of people of the same spec are going to use identical talents anyways.
