may as well continue using this OG thread rather than the one the furry erroneously made

► ambient gang (lot of it melancholic sounding):
► gotta have some good combat music too:
could go on and on but you get the gist, i'm a phat ol warhammer fantasy and heroes of might and magic fanboy as you can probably tell

I am a sucker for the DTU music. Makes playing a game which is really buggy worthwhile. 😁

And also of course, PS:T

Battle Brothers.

Primary Orc track (timestamped):

The Legion (timestamped):

Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus.

Absolutely killer in my opinion, my only gripe is I think the track should have been at least a minute longer.

Still gives me goosebumps.
Jeremy Soule is an actual magician. Morrowind's music (every part of it, even if some of it is unfairly criticised) is absolutely incredible.

Maybe it's because it's still, to my mind, the greatest CRPG of the 3D era; but DA:O Main Theme by Inon Zur is powerful. I really do think it's one of the greatest main themes I have, personally, ever heard.

Oh yes.

and many, many more...

Regarding Inon Zur, it's strange that the quality of his music for DA:E (2) drops drastically, just like the quality of the game... Most of the music he made for DA:O/DA:A is amazing. Apart from the Hawke family theme and one of the Deep Roads tracks, the music of DA:E is crap.

I'll add the entirety of CK2's OST to the mix.

I have nearly 500 hours in CK2 on Steam alone (I'd played the pirated version for years before CK2 went F2P on Steam) and I still haven't heard a single song from that OST. I would mute the music and either listen to other soundtracks or podcasts.
But I'll add the entirety of HoMM4's OST to the mix. I prefer Heroes 3 as a game, but (since I only had a copy of 4) that soundtrack isn't as familiar to me.

Witcher 3 soundtrack was really good. Dragon Quest had some good ones. Final Fantasy XV also. Alundras OST was good too. I don’t remember any others.

It might sound cringe but I vividly and fondly remember the time when my brother played World of Warcraft and did the wotlk raids, hearing those dialogues and music.

wow music is great, the cataclysm stuff in particular as well, even if the expansion itself was shite and the beginning of the end

Halo is full of great music, but this one in particular reminds me a LOT of Elder Scrolls.

One of the most underrated soundtracks and a personal favorite*:

Another lesser known good soundtrack, especially recommend A Spell Has Been Cast (Track 10):

Heroes of Might and Magic 2 soundtrack is also a bit of a gem:

*Think I posted it in the "What are you listening to" thread before. Can't hurt to post it again.

Plays in Hommlet, but its Jaroo's theme. Always takes me back to good places.

That's what I get for sharing from a playlist.

► Some of the more better music on recent(ish) games
► And some older ones I enjoyed as a kid
► Some of the ost was ok in this one idk...
► The Consouls did some good covers on Persona 5

Kenshi's main theme is compelling, and as far as I'm concerned, it fits the theme of the game almost perfectly.

Such a great ost from Kurt Harland.

Also a classic track from the OG SNES Donkey Kong Country.

The entire OST for this game is just divine.
