Outer Worlds 2

Game is ok so far. I expected WAAAAY worse from all those trailers they made. Characters so far are not as irritating and even if you get to gleefully ruin their lives by either ******* up their plans or even outright kill them.
(There was a Protectorate lackey at the beginning who I couldn't convince to help me and instead got robots on me, and 10 years later he is the right hand man of some psycho, I could've said that I was working with someone since I got the Writ, but instead just killed that guy since I wanted to kill him and his bootlicker ***.) Guns look pretty cool and have nice looking animations, be it reloading or idle animations.

Outer Worlds 2 reminded me that the first game was really high in reactivity and basically the only thing the game did well
even the main menu has reactivity

Okay some of this is funny. Shaping up to be better than Outer Worlds 1 so far.

And it runs pretty well for a 2025 uber-realistic graphics game

couple hours played assessment is that if you think you'd like it — a decently high budget mass effect-like with some nu-Fallout stuff thrown in — then it's probably worth checking out. The writing isn't as bad as Outerworlds(so far.) I'd give it a first glance "Pretty Much Fine" rating.

I reached the second planet and took on a bounty for some foid and I stealthily got behind her, shocked her with the gun from the earlier boss and as soon as I killed her, I got an achievement telling me that I am lvl 30. WTF, I knew she was above my lvl with her 2000 shield or health or whatever but ****. I'll reload and see if it was intentional or just a bug.

Edit: Yeah, just a bug. Didn't even lvl up now, just got 810xp

To you it's inoffensive, to me the inclusion of ugly short haired ******* and other disgusting people is offensive. I understand what you mean, they clearly didn't go bring their A game in gender politics and anti-corporate rhetoric, but it doesn't suddenly nullify the radical left foundations that built this game. It's amazing that gamers suddenly lose their staunch positions when the propaganda isn't "strong enough".

There are quite some non-white characters but it is not every single one of them. There are quite a lot of white people in this. Just a shame that the companions are not all white. But Niles and Inez are pretty inoffensive so far. Way better than lesbo Poovati and anarcho commie ****** Felix

I'm still in the first town

Pretty typical tactic recently is to make it less woke in the early parts and go full woke starting about 25% through. that way they can avoid the anti woke influencers wrath because most of them barely play games other than the very beginning, basically just like game journos do.

Indiana Jones & the Great Circle did this - and ******* like Grummz were proclaiming it as anti woke because he only played the first level

Flaws should've been a part of a character generation, like Fallout's traits.
