I'm going to wait for Windrose to launch officially, not taking the bait to buy it (even pirated seems to need a few patches in before thinking of even torrenting). Also combat sucks from what I saw: what's with the boar that beefy and hard to kill ? The solo mention in the description atp smells bs.

Mirklurk looks interesting. I've been reading and watching some reviews. The way combat is handled is intersting: HP is allocated in blocks on a grid (you decide where yours go) and weapons have different attack shapes, so some might be better for enemies with clustered HP, some on a line, etc. Armor points get allocated at the start of battle. Dodging an attack shifts all the blocks one direction (your choice).

It seems fairly simulationist from what I can tell. There are a few different meters (Focus, Satiation, Stamina, Warmth, Encumbrance) that roll up into a "Well Being" stat and affect things like how effective you are at combat, or HP regeneration. Your character can fall down sometimes if you are tired. You get XP for surviving a day.

It has a demo.
