Never understood the obsession over looks. Don't get me wrong, there is a level of it that looks cool in initial designs, but the barbie dress up obsession in games is beyond my grasp.

On point note: I never understood the "cosmetics" PTW. It is a game, shouldn't the gear look ALSO be tied to progression and accomplishment? The one thing I liked about EQ and early MMOs were that how you looked signified what you accomplished, not to mention if a certain look was what you are after, is it not one more carrot to go after? Also, gear look becomes pointless when a new player can blow a bunch of cash and walk into the game fresh looking like they just conquered the game. What happened to the "I am a nobody, I have nothing, and I progressed through levels of hell to become something" style of play which gear signifies? I really am sick of games being turned into gimmicks SIM dress-ups for the LARPERS.

Well, if anyone is willing to go through all the effort and knows a good lawyer, this can be won in court (depending on jurisdiction and if they actually follow the law) and you can get a big payday. There have been numerous wins already against this. With all the data out there showing the direct harm, the fact that a business is not your personal physician, and the fact that this actually violates numerous US laws (yes, they do it anyway, but there are clear laws on these types of things, regardless of what they like to "claim").

Dress up is one of the few forms of gameplay that appeals to women.

They should have made it harder to win. All we have to do is not buy things. Poor game design.

They had every advantage given to them, things that would have never been possible for a team of straight white males making their first game:
Abubakar Salim, who is most known for being the voice actor for Bayek in Assassin's Creed Origins, is the game's creative lead. He founded Surgent Studios in 2019, and Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is the studio's debut project.[4] Tales of Kenzera was inspired by Salim's own experience of grief over the loss of his father.[5] The game was heavily inspired by Bantu cultures and Salim's own experience with tribal groups while filming Raised by Wolves in South Africa.[6] The story was also inspired by tabletop role-playing games, with Critical Role Productions assisting the game's development.[7] Nainita Desai served as the game's composer. Salim described the game's soundtracks as a mix of synth, electric sounds and African traditional music, and compared it to the music from Black Panther and Tenet.[8]

Surgent Studios (then known as Silver Rain Games) announced that it had partnered with publisher Electronic Arts for the development of a new game in March 2021.[9] Tales of Kenzera: ZAU was officially announced by Salim at The Game Awards 2023 in December 2023. It was released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S under the EA Originals publishing label on 23 April 2024.[10]

Great to see that the Steam group has nearly half a million followers. Considering how not all gamers even use Steam at all, that number is huge.

First: capital B "Black" 🤮
Second: yeah, they turned you down because they knew it was **** that wouldn't sell, dipshit.

EA threw you a DEI bone because it wasn't even 1/10th of a percent of their FIFA gambling income and it looks good as a virtue signal to ***-clowns like Blackrock.
Nobody else wanted to waste that much money on a virtue signal.

Thankfully, we already have a great parallel to their game, another game that is also a cultural tale similar to ZAU except it's not a narcissistic one, and is also original rather than being Wow! Yet another metroidslopvania, how original!

Warhorse couldn't find a single publisher who wanted to fund Kingdom Come: Deliverance. They had to do crowdfunding on Kickstarter to convince a private investor who knew nothing of video games(but, IIRC, wanted to fund a project focused on Czech history) to fund the project.
This is despite Warhorse being founded by a 15-year industry veteran who was the lead developer, designer, and screenwriter of Mafia, and the designer & writer of Mafia 2.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU has a higher metacritic score than Kingdom Come: Deliverance, BTW.

What a ******* disgrace to the gamer industry.

These ******* sub-casual no-talent journalists slumming it in gaming because all the leftist rags are full of better writers, polluting the industry with their idiocy.

Never forgetti that KCD wasn't interesting enough to cover on a video game review/news site

I've said it before, NoSimp, but she works hard, puts out a gazillion videos a day, and (from what I've seen) doesn't get her tits out or rely on titillation for views in a single one.
Isn't it sad though when that "stands out" today for a female, when it should be the base expectation, lol.

It wasn't as of 12 hours ago.
And there was a shitstorm online, even Asmongold got in on it.
Google doesn't like that kind of publicity.
My guess is that some woke DEI ****** worm with access put it on the list reserved for pedo **** and other evil whatnot without authorization.
And when the execs found out it was ONLY their search doing it, they sent someone to look into it and fixed it post-haste.

I know. Nowadays you expect all the female content creators to bare it all but it's like a miracle if you see a normal woman dressed decently, just do news videos and also saying her piece. I've been following her for a few years now.
She used to be a MTG content creator, with a few videos about games.

The only reason Vara Dark is tolerated here is because she was one of the few people in MCA's corner when he got MeToo'd. Otherwise (most of the time) women in gaming spaces are a plague.

I can accept that there's some small percentage of women who are intelligent and based enough to make a positive contribution to whatever community. It's more rare than people want to believe, but it happens.

Her voice is annoying though, so no thanks. Would probably watch her over the Quarter Pounder, but I get my news from forums and memes now, so no need.
