Todd is probably staring at his phone is abject terror, hoping his new boss Phil doesn't call him. Looks like Microsoft's dream acquisition turned into a Lucasfilm situation.
This is a complete cope.. Todd has so much **** you money at this point.

Games have moved on, and BGS have shown they can't deliver on a premise that's basically a decade old.

edit: older than that, because this game should have been Daggerfall +, but I mean compared to other space games.

Starfield doesn't strike me as a gamepass fodder tbh, not something you'd want to play while on rent. Playerbase being split between PC and Xbox would be a better cope, since BG3 came out on PC only.

they aren't renting it, gamepass has >25 million monthly subscribers

So Starfield should have had 25 million concurrent players. Checkmate? Toddlers.

Holy ****. My mom came into my room to bring me a plate of sweet roll and I literally thu'umed at her and hit the plate of sweet roll out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to my mom but I'm literally in shock from the results tonight. I feel like I'm going to explode. Why the ******* **** is Starfield not selling? This can't be happening. I'm having a ******* breakdown. I don't want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want Todd's games to win over those gay bear romance simulators. I cannot ******* deal with this right now. It wasn't supposed to be like this, I thought Starfield was having high playercounts during the advanced access week???? This is so ******.

Fool me once....

I saw Starfield 76 for what it was the moment I saw those potato faced NPC models. Now we know why all those game devs spent hours spitting on BG3 when it released early, it sets a VERY high bar.

The writing may be terrible, I will agree with you there. However the NPC animations and Mocap is **** good, I don't plan to play Muttfield but I very much doubt it has so many more voiced NPCs that Bethesda couldn't do better than some chopped up AI animator for its NPC facial animations. The question now is did they even try? Or does Todd Howard realize the competency crisis has doomed all American AAA studios and just said "**** it, ship it!"

One of the camp followers in BG3 mocked my character for not having sex with any of the companions it means creators really wanted the players to see it.

All the bad reviews came from UK, because the entitled twats didn't get keys, but there's no way its better than a 7/10.

The difference is.. BG3 faces are hand sculpted for the most part. Lot's of copy and pasting of the same 6 - 8 meshes.

Bethesda leverages face morphs. This is far more modder friendly and allows much more customization. It's gonna take a few mods / retextures.. but of the two technologies I know which one has the longer life.

Nobody is gonna be playing BG3 in 2 years.

Gamepass has been the biggest boon for fudging numbers. "Well by every metric publicly available it's doing poorly but trust us it's actually secretly doing great!".
Steam in 2011 had about 2mil congruent users now that number is a round 20mil and it's release sits around Skyrim's.

I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

It's super funny when you turn him down because he immediately acts like he's totally fine and definitely not upset about it but he leaves almost immediately ignoring the fact that he happened to randomly call you to the astral plane while being shirtless and suddenly trying to rizz you up.

Are we tho?
The companions are just a bunch of characters that can romance with anyone.
Not the first time Larian did that. Divinity's Original Sin II is very similar in that regard, and I don't recall any uproar about it.

Maybe Larian is just a studio for ******* like myself, or just take bunch of romance-with-any characters from BioWare and multiply it by 6.

It's nice to romance any character without mods tho, so I don't mind. Game's good even without it.
Possibility of romancing anyone is just a bunch of cherries on top of the already delicious cake
It's just my opinion, not the absolute truth
