And another one! This time, quite deep analysis - they/them get few things wrong, but they/them actually played the game.
This is why I only listen to negative reviews. Clearly, this review should be considered "helpful".

In publishing mods on Steam Workshop, I've learned people review-bomb for a wide variety of reasons, many of which have little to do with a mod's efficacy.

- If you publish a mod that makes the game easier, the masochists will review-bomb your mod.
- If you publish a mod that restricts anything related to female nudity or sex involving female-looking NPCs, the gooners will review-bomb your mod.
- If you publish a mod that diminishes (in any way) alphabet themes, the alphabet cult will descend like locusts, mass report, and review-bomb your mod.

And that's not even touching race, religion, or ethnic stuff. In fact, because there's so much regional hatred (ie: Balkan Hate), if your mod involves anything related to any real-world region of the world, someone's gonna get upset and review-bomb your ****. Basically, publishing a mod and getting someone's proverbial panties in a twist - is the nature of the beast. But I guess it's nice to commiserate sometimes.

Rating a mod low because you don't like it isn't review-bombing

Giving a mod a negative review based upon reasons unrelated to whether the mod is functional and accomplishes what it claims - and then bragging/posting about it on X, Reddit, or elsewhere, after which more bad reviews pile on, seems pretty close to review-bombing to me. Just because it's not explicitly coordinated, doesn't mean people don't act in a hive-mind and attack anything they don't like, all at once.

downloading mods that do things you don't like just to give it a negative rating sounds like a funny bit now that you mention it

Reviews suck everywhere, and any curated list of reviewers will just be a libtard circle jerk. A ******* "spot the cat" game will rate higher than Half-Life or Deus Ex because of femoids not having adult brains and being easily amused. You really have to curate your own pool of reviewers to trust or learn what info you need to pick out from user reviews. Most any public facing review pool is a cess pit, rpghq excluded :cowboy:

And eventually they betray anyhow. I used to trust "Is it ****" till they gave a positive review to Atlyss.

Turn it into an advertising moment.

For every 1,000 negative comments, you will donate $1 to the conservative cause/charity/hateful person of your choice.

Maybe offer to donate money to the Department of Defense to purchase bombs for the Iran peace efforts, or donate to a Charlie Kirk memorial fund, or possibly to support christian programs trying to detransition transgenders.

Idk, get creative.

Embrace the PT Barnum philosophy, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
Thanks, but for now I don't have 1k comments at all :)

Do not fall into the trap of assuming things based on a screenshot without checking it out for yourself.
You create your own character in-game and you can be male or female. There are also different kinds of archetypes you play. My guy was a air mage corruptor, sneaking behind the scenes whispering poison in people's ears.

Male warrior for example:

okay that changes things. custom character means I retract my statement. my general rule is if I see female mc and its made after 2004 that I immediately assume girlboss trope.

Yes, of course I was not so stupid to make "warrior" profession exclusively female :) In the game itself, like in the real life, the vast majority of warriors are men, female ones are exception (and I admit I made them mostly so the male players would have more choices in consorts).
