Also @rusty_shackleford, you are dishonest at excusing Oblivion since you purposely forget to mention all the inexcusable features it removed such as:

-Different tiers of diseases
-Better enemy variety
-Different biomes
-Cities cut behind a loading screen to load even though Morrowind has no loading screen to load cities and it works on Xbox console. No excuse.
-Levitation spells, slowfall spells, jump spells, open spells for non-lockpicking characters, fortify attributes, damage/drain attributes,
spell absortion, spell reflection, damage reflection, feather, burden removed for no reason

I think I uninstalled it as soon as I reached the imperial city the first time I played it. Then in the second attempt right after a couple of fights in the arena. It came off as a terrible case of consolitis. In hindsight, I think, the overall quality of gaming in the late 90s to mid 00s on both the PC and the consoles had a bad priming effect, and Oblivion was the harbinger of the latter's increasing power over the former throughout the 360 era (for the detriment of both).

It definitely had soul. The music and the UI icons alone are a testament to that.

It writes 100% like a (colossally autistic) man.

If it were a woman, I would have her tested for reverse-Klinefelter syndrome.

Morrowind and Oblivion cities are different. Oblivion has moar graphix and especially moar AI. If they could do it without loading screens they would, just like how Obsidian had to add loading screens to the strip in New Vegas rather than keep it as one long stretch of road. The NPCs were just destroying the memory and it still wasn't as busy as they would have preferred.

I'm guessing cities on separate cells is also why they removed levitation since you can't just float your way inside a city.

Despite this defense of Oblivion I think it sucks. There's not a single leveling mod that fixes level scaling to my liking and most quests are incredibly basic with no player choice with the notable exception of the the Hitman-style antics encouraged by the Dark Brotherhood quest. The character faces are also incredibly ugly.

Multiple women, including a lesbian, agreed that Lilura was a woman and not ***** or a male pretending. She's just autistic.

Wow you ******* actually managed to turn this into a codexfarms ****** lolcow thread. I’ll give you a hint. If someone places any weight on their special internet forum they use and base their ego off of it they are a complete loser.

This is a good poll though because it has almost perfectly divided the good posters from the soulless npcs that are copy pasting video essays and ****** e celebrities since their own heads are too full of furry porn and faggotry to contain any real thoughts.

I really appreciate how the main quest and general theme of the game is free from the subversive nonsense in most other rpgs. Good is good, evil is evil. Kill the demons, kill the necromancers, have a fun time in a world that has the fun tone of a storytale. Skyrim had a terrible girlboss and subversion problem where the world was made so there was no truth, no right side, everyone was evil and ******. It was just pure nihilism slop.

Fallout new Vegas was even worse but with everyone being gay AND terrible.

I didn't vote because my opinion of Oblivion is based on heavy modding and most of my objections to it were the console influences and some mechanics I didn't care for.

The only parts of Oblivion I remember fondly were the Ayleid ruins for the aesthetics and the Thieves' Guild heists for the mission design.

The rest was... good enough for screwing around in a sandbox, I guess, and the wacky scaling mechanics were conducive to that. But generic as hell. I learn now that "Cyrodiil should have been a jungle" was a retcon, but it would still have made for a more interesting world to explore. I had fun messing with the NPCs and collecting junk, but I rarely felt the urge to discover what was behind the next hill or to progress a quest.

Skyrim doubled down on the "screw around in a casual sandbox where nothing matters" approach, but at least it was consistently pretty to look at, and it did a better job setting the mood via environmental setpieces.

In all seriousness, use a darNified UI mod, to get ride of the console menu. Then use an unscaling mod, so you run into every type of enemy, and bandits won't wear daedric. I would tell you which is best, but I can't play Bethesda games, anymore.

Shooting for the moon, even if you miss, is underappreciated. I'm tired of "safe" small scope games(and projects in general.) Give me ambition!
Do NOT give him ambition, that's how we got Troika and Obsidian! I repeat, do NOT give it to him!

They're far better at spotting fakes than men, they have the lived experience of being a woman after all.

It's not that they couldn't do it. There's a mod that does and it runs fine. On PC.

It was the ******* Xbox that required not only this, but more limited architecture and landscaping because of that weak-*** piece of **** console.

And you are correct about the removal of flight spells being tied to this. They admitted as much.
The removal of mark and recall is harder to justify. I believe they ran into problems with it breaking missions, such as some where you are only supposed to be able to be at a location once.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.
