Eva Maria-Voight's email:
I haven't followed up on this yet. I feel like I'm going to keep getting the runaround, but I'm not going to stop.Dear Rusty Shackleford,
Please excuse my delayed response.
In your email, you mentioned that a student from the Institute of Social Sciences has used your data in a master's thesis without properly citing the sources. According to the central regulations of HU, this could be considered as academic misconduct. The responsible examination committee decides on such cases.
Here are the steps you can take:
Inform the responsible examination committee that you suspect misconduct in the master's thesis. Provide the name of the person and point out the specific sections in the work that are problematic.
The examination committee will request a statement from the person concerned.
Based on the person's statements and your information, the examination committee will make a decision.
I assume that the responsible examination committee is the examination committee for social sciences (Sozialwissenschaften). Here are the contact details: https://fakultaeten.hu-berlin.de/de/ksb ... mlehre/PAs
Best regards,
Eva-Maria Voigt
Also, it seems her email is completely uninformed about the issue to begin with.

Companies do the same thing, you get the run around until a lawyer sends a legal notice, then **** gets done.

Not sure how much could this help, but LegalMindset https://www.youtube.com/@LegalMindset/streams and PotentiallyCriminal https://www.youtube.com/@PotentiallyCriminal/streams are two lawyers that I recall gave aid to others in the past, if not themselves, they sent the askers to their connections and friends to have aid in such discourse, ESPECIALLY when it comes to this sort of woke ****. You have to threaten them with legal action or they will do nothing.

Problem is that it's outside US Justice system.TKVNC wrote: ↑ December 14th, 2024, 09:43You have to threaten them with legal action or they will do nothing.
You can't apply US laws to EU.
However there are strict data laws in EU so maybe there's something to mine there ? Not sure. It's called GDPR : https://gdpr-info.eu/

It's still a civil (and in some instances, criminal) offence

If you bring the law into it their actions, and also inaction in this case, could really come back to bite them. This wouldn't be the first time a university got itself in **** for allowing a ''researcher'' to do something stupid. Example: How a university got itself banned from the Linux kernel (The Verge)
The three evils that humanity faces:
Censorship
Telemetry
DRM
These employees have never seen one of these complaints. Takes them a week to figure out which email to pass the buck to.
**** it we should spam them

If they're breaking the law, you should be able to **** them over in some way, or at least keep the option available as what you could do.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 12:55Daxa wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 12:16So instead of calling rusty a jew in the original post, he made a post to be called a jew directly.I'm not seeking any sort of monetary compensation.jebacdrkac wrote: ↑ November 26th, 2024, 11:24Ms. Stürenburg has awoken Rusty’s spiritual Judaism—which has ignited a chain reaction of chutzpah-fueled ambition. Interesting she took stuff from the member's only areas, too. Meaning it wasn't even just implicit acceptance of contract, but she literally accepted the forum terms (including ownership of data) on sign-up, then decided to intentionally breach them for her own benefit..
Be funny if the research started to be collected around when someone called Durge signed up..

Probably not her. She claims to be from Finland, and she certainly doesn't write like a German academic.Jordy wrote: ↑ December 14th, 2024, 22:22For anyone wondering who/what this is referring to.BobT wrote: ↑ December 14th, 2024, 21:51Interesting she took stuff from the member's only areas, too. Whiteshark's question may have been prescient.
