Feargus has acknowledged that covid/remote-work really ****** them when it came to productivity.
It took them 18 months to make a single dlc for outer worlds, as long as it took oldsidian to make the entirety of FNV. it had nothing to do with the coof.

Patel's management philosophy of "new martyrs, no mavericks" everyone works an 8 hour day and is then forced to go home is also a contributing factor.

I do want shorter games with worse graphics but I'm fine with game devs being paid almost nothing like today. They can get ******.

It it bad that I want devs work 8 hours a day, payed big salary, but for that they must give better graphics, stories, gameplay and less bugs in games?

Yes. Game devs deserve to be slaves. They shouldn't even get to make games unless "games" is redefined as "freshly dug coal and ores".

Obsidian requires anyone receiving a review copy to be a shill. Ergo, anyone who receives a review copy is a shill, at least in Obsidians opinion. Good to know.

Gonna need more proof than just DMs with no name attached. It just seems unlikely to me that someone working for MS would use such blunt language.

Gonna have to agree with @Roguey , no sane PR flunkie would ever tell someone that they're blacklisted, they would not just reply or give some non-answer or something, but we live in clownworld so who knows.

That twitter poster twatted this :D

When I first saw the initial teaser, I thought that the game could be good. Was not expecting a morrowind tier game. Imagined how cool it would be to use stuff like mind blades, puppet master, soul ignition, ringleader, disintegration, and time parasite in FPP. When the signals of woke come, I lost interest, and despite it, when I learned that there would be no cipher abilities, I still got disappointed.

Now I realized that Rangers have no animal companion. Did they take EVERYTHING interesting from Pillows away? No Cipher psionics, no Druid shapeshift, no Chanter, no wounds-based monk, no raging Barbarian, just 3 "trees" out of the 11 classes as trees, and the trees are vastly "capped.".

In Avoided, Rangers have 18 active and passive in total https://avowed.wiki.fextralife.com/Ranger Ability Tree
In PoE 2, Rangers only in the 1st/2nd out of 9 "rows" have 19 active + passive abilities. https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Ranger

Such a decline in the number of stuff is greater than any Bethesda game. From Morrowind to Oblivion or Oblivion to Skyrim, was not that bad. And before someone says "muh quality over quantity," everything interesting from Rangers or Wizards is also out of the game. It is the same decline of Dragon Age Origins to Failguard but in a single game.

I believe that obsidian goal was aiming for broader appeal like Skyrim and not focusing on the CRPG aspects of POE.

I know. I'm not criticizing the lack of RPG mechanics. I was expecting a game full of "awesome button". Even the "awesome button" of this game sucks and are much more limited than Pillows. That is what I was criticizing.

And much more diversity hires.

The bloodline is a game made by one guy. 11 Martial skill trees and 12 Magical skill trees.

Libtards always do this thing where if they disagree with someone then that person is stupid.
Yes, oh video game journalist, the richest man in the world that leads space exploration, is best friends with the president, provides wireless internet to the world, and who is the Ford of electric cars is actually Very Stupid.

According to reports, the CEO is “not going to speak directly to what is happening” but instead will “let it blow over”. True leadership.

Sheesh - either way, at least take a stand?

Oh, and interesting, based on the Slack messages, Digimancy (another game company) seems to be working with them, too.

Not publicly, about as agreeable as one can expect a dev to be https://x.com/gziets?lang=en
