Skyrim is a gooner game, FNV is a trooner game.
Now list a gamer game.
Oblivion
Oblivion is the newest game I've completed, meaning all expansions and base game, unmodded. Except for Mass Effect 1 and 2, but they're part of a trilogy, and I never finished 3, so they don't count. Yes, it must be a masterpiece and a gamer game.
Weirdest cracker you know.

It's really funny that people gave Fallout 76 so much **** for no NPCs (game was vastly better without them) when one of the most popular Fallout mods is one that removes all NPCs you can talk to and turns it into a pure survival game.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Only thing that will top this is Xilandro getting obliterated by a Russian air strike.

May as well play a better shooter or zombie survival game.
Imagine if Oblivion had no NPCs, it would just be killing random goblins and dremora, it wouldn't be an RPG.

Don't think FNV really needs any mods beyond stability + bugfixes, maybe sawyer's mod if you're feeling adventurous.

I liked Project: Nevada, but it's so bloated and out of date now. Someone made an alternative mod guide, but I never got around to trying it.

I really like this mod that adds pickup animations to unique items

I think Viva New Vegas was it.
I played nearly through the entire game with it but it would crash every 20 feet in the Utah DLC areas. It was like 5 years ago, though, so it might be fixed by now.

Heh, yeah. Sierre Madre and the Pitt from FO3. Two scariest locales in Fallout. The Glowing Sea in FO4 was just boring in comparison.

I remember I had to turn off sound effects while I was doing a bunch of modding additions to the steelyard.

And then I had the sound off totally when testing in game.

I loved The Pitt from FO3, amazing atmosphere. Operation Anchorage was pretty fun too. For NV, it was Dead Money by far

I spent my undergrad (irl) in the main tower(Haven) of the Pitt. Most of the floors were completely unused, I'd just go up a few floors and find a cool castle room to spend the evening in. :wizard:

I would not mind actually working mod which opens up the strip and the other areas which got spliced up before the release to make it run on consoles. There was some but it barely worked.

Kind of mods I always avoid because it touches so many things that something inevitably breaks
