nuFar Cry games, the sloppest among all casual slop from 10 years ago, actually have better, more aggresive wildlife AI

Compares to how reactive and animation-heavy wolves in Kangdom Cums are.

such a hardcore and realistic combat system

edit: should've used the example from Far Cry Primal instead but my point still stands

The whole "underage sex" angle is a complete nonstarter.

The real Jan Ptacek's year of birth is unknown. The 1388 number doesn't even have a source, it's speculation by (((historians))). On the other hand, he evidently had a son sometime shortly after the events of the game (I was unable to find a source confirming Wikipedia's claim of 1404, but sources do say his son was born near the beginning of the 15th century, and he was certainly in possession of the family properties by the 1420s and is recorded as having concluded a truce with an enemy in 1427) and as we've already discussed in this thread, most men - and this would include petty nobility - were not marrying and having children until later. That in-game entry is also characterizing him as "underage" in the context of ruling his inheritance, which historical practice in the HRE shows was virtually at the whim of the court and such regencies could last well into the 20s and even 30s if courtiers felt the heir was still too immature, or, more likely, just didn't want to give up power. The real Hanush of Lipa wasn't forced to let the real Jan Ptacek rule until 1412, and only because Jan sued him in the court of law; even if he was born in 1388 he would certainly have been "of age" by our standards by then! It's simply impossible to guess what his real age was.

All the developers have to say is "Hans Capon is a fictionalized character based on a real person, whose age in the game's timeframe is unknown, so we made the choice to portray him as a young adult by modern standards." Nobody could possibly make a legal argument against that.
Yep. It really feels people are gasping at straws here. There is a **** ton of things to criticize KCD 2 on but this is by far is the weakest point against the game.
Grasping at straws by pointing out the lead developer clearly stated the character is underage?
Gasping at straws in terms of people having legitimate issues with it. I agree it’s weird but as said previously they don’t look or act like underage kids so for all intended purposes they adults in people eyes.

weird that an enemy in a game where you're equipped with machine guns and flamethrowers has a different attack pattern than one in a game where you have a sword

So are there any positives to the game? Things you thought were neat and would like to see in future RPGs? Or is it just nothing to write home about?

Far Cry Primal exists and the wildlife AI is identical to this (partically because Ubi has always been lazy but at least they didn't dumb it down.)

Pirated the game to see for myself how bad it went. Loved the first one. So far, played for around 3 hours and graphics look really weird. I play on everything maxed out and the image is still blurry for some reason? I think first game looked much clearer and that was 8 years ago!

So far there's some positives compared to the first game. New blacksmith minigame is fun, crafted some axes and horseshoes. The usual herb picking is relaxing (at least for me) and now you have to dry the grass so it won't spoil. It also affects the quality of potions which is cool. A lot of new perks. A system to change armor presets is really handy. The waiting or sleeping clock now is almost instant (compared to the waiting slog in the kkd1). Haven't tried a lot of combat yet but it seems to be better, combos are easier to pull off. :knight:

This visual puke was brought to you by the 6 gorillion post-processing effects every AAA game gets injected with nowadays.
I noticed a really glaring spectacle when there was water behind Henry and I moved the camera around. :yuck:

For reference, he has basically the exact same amount of dialogue that Hans does in the first game (only WITH the paid DLC, without it he has significantly less).

Skimmed the automatic YouTube transcript.

Scholar, explorer, physician, geographer, lawyer.
"I went to Cairo where I learned geography and law so that I would be better prepared the next time
Confirmed languages Musa is fluent in: Songhai, Arabic, Czech, Latin, Hungarian, some Somali language, presumably every other one that was spoken on his ******* odyssey.
I expect I have talent. I learned Hungarian in just two months.
I helped them as a translator especially for Christian envoys from Ethiopia on a pilgrimage to Rome
Bohemian savages
evidence that here in Bohemia you will drink even vinegar
Musa mad he wasn't appointed the personal physician of a ******* European king
he did not even make me his personal physician he prefers to trust your quacks and sent me here
but let us just say that King Sigismund did not show me the respect my position is worthy of

I would take people slightly more seriously on this point if they bought this point in the first game when Henry was sleeping with women but that point is strangely left out.

Yogurt is Turkish, not even Arab. There's simply no way he would have ever heard of it.
This is especially funny considering that as a sub-Saharan African he would be lactose intolerant. Even if you say that Musa personally had a mutation that made it possible for him to digest milk it would still not explain how yogurt became a staple of Malian cuisine as he seems to claim, people there would not be able to digest it. This is another indication how illiterate leftists are when it comes to racial biology. Of course the whole dialog is another jab of the writers at the Europeans who they portray as unsophisticated and backward savages that need to be educated by this African paragon of enlightenment and wisdom. This is them saying "Remember when you were dumb primitives and they were learned scholars? The fact that this dynamic is reversed now is not a result of racial differences, but of oppression!"

Henry isn't based on a real person. The publisher said he's 27, which seems quite old to me but is an official statement so…

Yogurt is fine for the lactose intolerant. The probiotics break down the lactose. That said, I'm a little curious how he got access to cold yogurt. How cool does yogurt get when you put it in a mud hole?
