VAE VICTIS
I mean, it's not REALLY a joke. I've actually played all of them. The only one I haven't gotten to play is RPG-30. The first 3 are great. High replay value, great fun. RPG-32 is a bit hard to get ahold of, but also great. RPG-27 is a bit of a one-and-done deal, though.Stack of Turtles wrote: ↑ June 18th, 2025, 04:27I was going to make this joke months ago and now I'm glad I did not

RPG-7 is kind of fun in STALKER, takes up a load of space and it's kind of heavy though.
Yes, but playing RPG-7 in Stalker is like using Minecraft to play Doom. You can just play the original RPG-7 outside of a different game entirely.Tweed wrote: ↑ June 19th, 2025, 12:30RPG-7 is kind of fun in STALKER, takes up a load of space and it's kind of heavy though.

If Kingdom Come: Deliverance is ranked very poorly, I would vote for that. But surprisingly, HQ seems to really like the Czech masterpiece. Another thing worth mentioning is that HQ appears to be very fond of Dragon Age: Origins, therefore I can vote for other games.Valter wrote: ↑ July 8th, 2025, 04:30Skyrim up there playing caretaker for the retirement home.lucky-SVLLa wrote: ↑ July 3rd, 2025, 08:36![]()

I'm quite surprised that ATOM RPG ranks much better than Trudograd. People who voted for ATOM RPG should also vote for Trudograd.
You could try voting for what you actually like instead of gaming the rankings.lucky-SVLLa wrote: ↑ July 8th, 2025, 12:31If Kingdom Come: Deliverance is ranked very poorly, I would vote for that. If I were really gaming the rankings, I would place Archolos instead of Gothic 2 to get more people to play this great MOD. In fact, it's because I find it very difficult to decide which one is in my top 5 position, the feelings for those below, all the way down to the top 20, are very close. I didn't want to worry about it anymore, so I just voted this way.Tangerine wrote: ↑ July 8th, 2025, 12:51You could try voting for what you actually like instead of gaming the rankings.lucky-SVLLa wrote: ↑ July 8th, 2025, 12:31If Kingdom Come: Deliverance is ranked very poorly, I would vote for that. However, the top 4 that I ranked are indeed the ones I am extremely satisfied with, the cRPGs with the least shortcomings.

Its written beautifully, it really puts any other game to shame as far as its characters and storytelling go. If only the gameplay wasn't diabolical, it would definitely be Number 1.Valter wrote: ↑ August 11th, 2025, 09:58Curious list. Updated.
You might think I make these posts so that I can reference who has posted their top 5 since my last update but I just do it to be annoying.

The world and characters in Bannerlord feels way more generic and bland than in Warband. The npcs in Warband had way more personality. I prefer the factions of Warband too like the Vaegirs and Rhodoks that are not in Bannerlord, I like how all the factions are balanced and have different advantages, in Bannerlord they are more similar. Warband also feels more like a finished game than Bannerlord, I play Warband with mods that overhaul the vanilla game tho.Valter wrote: ↑ October 13th, 2025, 14:19Curious top spot. 1) Jagged Alliance 2
2) Fallout
3) The Age of Decadence
4) ATOM: Trudograd
5) Underrail
Was very unsure about what to choose for the 5th place between Underrail, ATOM RPG and Colony Ship RPG. I was almost picking ATOM RPG because of it being the most ******** NPCs free game among them but it also features a really dubious sidequest about working for a furious flaming ****** movie director to do a super degenerate smut film with mutants, but I'm not sure if it was made to mock degenerate ******* or praise faggotry considering how that character is portrayed. Colony Ship RPG I didn't pick because the way the major factions are portrayed is too depressive and too nihilistic with all being equally grey and mostly bad. AoD also suffers from this, but not as badly because the factions in AoD have more developed and charismatic leaders and important characters than Colony Ship ones.
Underrail portrays much better how an authoritarian faction with good PR trying diplomacy first, violence second operates, The Protectorate is a well portrayed, decentralized civic nationalist dictatorship with good optics. Compared to the typical lame strawmen factions libruls do in their blind "it's only authoritarian when the right does it" midwittery. Both sides of the main conflict feel interesting enough to be worthy siding with in one playthrough even if a player disagrees with their beliefs, more so because overall the two factions are much more about build than character ideology. Free Drones for stealthy hit and run guerrilla builds and Protectorate for tanky hard hitting builds. That is a cool way to incentive replaying in different sides, when each faction is kitted in optimal gear for different types of builds like Gothic and Gothic II did so well(and beyond as some character classes were locked behind a faction). Only reason I didn't rate Underrail higher is featuring some cringe dialogue and the Deep Caves endgame being such a chore that in the last playthrough I did of it I stopped after reaching the much better paced ending of the Expedition DLC. It's a game I have played with a lot of different character builds for hundreds of hours but only finished once.
Trudograd however features a ****** gang leader but the character's portrayal, to me, looks much more clear cut towards mockery, and probably would make any woketroon who played the game and discovered the secret area with the ****** wigs and women dresses all triggered because it's wholly negative, making this NPC look as mentally deranged as real ******** are, specially after reading his diary. Furthermore in Trudograd, supporting the commie revolutionaries against the oligarchs has a realistic ending where they establish an even worse more oppressive regime after their revolution and become the new oligarchs of the city. I wouldn't go as far to say ATOM RPG and its sequel are anti-woke and whether intentionally or not based, but overall I noticed a firm, sometimes overt, sometimes stealth mockery of communism and Marxism in the series and only didn't put ATOM in the top 5 too because Trudograd has better QoL User Interface, the first kind of copies Fallout classic too much and that specific quest to do a smut film is too much of a copy of Fallout 2 primarily in New Reno degenerate ****.
