The entrance to the first "town" has a bunch of refugees. The only two named ones with dialogue are two ******* who call each other "honey" and "darling." One's a ***** of some sort, the other is a pale ginger ****** (african facial structure, pale skin, red nappy hair) ... I don't think I've seen a single straight couple yet.

I'm gonna assume you're apologizing because it was accidental and not intentional like it should've been from the start.

Something interesting? From the first game? What was it?
2 things.
  • The stories of aliens you hear from the drunk old guy in that bar on one of the planets. (You can see how far I'm reaching for anything in this game! )
  • What happened to that destroyer that left for Earth and never came back?
As we're in a different system we'll never know the earth shattering  answers to both of these mysteries. Which is probably for the best as some fat guys in a boardroom probably would have decided on it anyway. (Obsidian being bought out and all.)

But... he says they're communists by the end. Soviets specifically.

Regardless... this was a better watch than playing a game this awful. Wow. Not even worth pirating.

I wouldn't have made it past the first 5 minutes.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

The writing is insufferable - woke AND insincere. Women are butch *****, men are simpering *******. The first person you talk to is a ******.

I joined the forum just because of this line right here.. couldn't agree more - and what a breath of fresh air to find a forum that isn't tripping over it's own pronouns to appeal to faggotry and ******-worship DEI trash

I installed this game because I kept seeing it being spammed on my Xbox Live home screen and I do have Ultimate, so I started playing it, and pressed pause within the first 2 minutes to uninstall it permanently after seeing some ******** Karen **** with a short-haired jew-fro transvestite sidekick - which has breasts, so I'm guessing is a ******

What an absolute pile of dog ****

This is twice what I'd pay at full price.

And yet, this is STILL like this, so...

I'm just non buy-nary.
I saw the price as a Steam suggestion when I was buying an actually good game.

TOW 2 was released 2 months ago, a 30% discount is a sign of failure.

Avowed is 50% off which is funny, still needs to get down before I'll try it.

I knew this game won't be any good but I hoped for it to be average at least with occasional good parts. This one turned out to be boring as ****.

I found what I played to be enjoyable in terms of design/gameplay, with competent writers it could have actually been good.
[edit]
I seem to be agreeing with myself from half a year ago:

Easily could have been FNV2 with good writers
The design and general gameplay is quite good

I disagree. This game has many gameplay elements/features stitched together but not any one of them is polished or interesting enough on their own compared to other RPGs. The only thing I liked is how dialogues flow with each response of yours advancing them further.

Maps are too small and empty between key quest locations to properly enjoy exploring the world. OW2 would greatly benefit having one big map like in Bethesda's or CDPR's games. Or devs should have ditched the exploring completely and just make some smaller hub locations like in VTMB or Deus Ex.

They are hub locations. It's semi-open world, and it's my preferred design style.
