OK, checked the logs, no error. Downloaded the file, there is indeed an issue extracting. Checked the hashes on the zip file, it matches what was uploaded to the vault server(not to be confused with the storage server), so there was no issue in sending it to storage.
Strange, I don't know what happened. Either the source file is corrupt, or a network error perhaps.
Only happened once, but I have had files that looked like they zipped properly, but the resultant file would not unzip and threw an error with any decompressor.
I tested and only that specific combination of files would create the unusable zip, despite the files being perfectly normal.
It was weird. The compressor did something that no extractor module could understand.
What program was used?
β’ Windows native zip
β’ Winzip
β’ WinRar
β’ 7-zip
β’ Something else
Impossible. I tested the same zip file. Making sure there's no other up be confused by.
Its more than likely that its my Internet connection that caused an issue

Is there even a shred of a possibility that this mod can be used on console when Patch 7 goes live on those platforms? I have a 4 player Honor Mode session going almost every weekend, and I would love to see their reactions/ how long it would take them to notice. I imagine Larian would never host it on their official mod support so it's probably dead in the water. One can dream though.
Backdoor the mod into a seemingly innocuous personal mod you upload on mod.io
See if you can make it unlisted, or name it something no one will download
Unfortunately to upload a mod to the console library, Larian manually review mod submissions.
This specific """""""guideline""""""" will likely be flagged: "They must not contain any element that can be considered discriminatory, racist, obscene, libellous, offensive, or likely to adversely affect the reputation or goodwill of Larian Studios."
I don't know if there is a way to backdoor and avoid detection, while also having the right mod accessible once approved. I can't add it later either as any update will undergo review.
I'm not going to rule out the possibility, but it is looking rather challenging.

I refuse to believe that they have a minor legion of basement autists manually reviewing mods marked as personal in perpetuity. They'd need to either decompress and sift through files, or actually install and play significant portions of the game in order to determine what many mods do. Imagine if I made a personal mod that replaced every single line of Wyll's with "oh lawd I belong in de fields" as well as a bunch of random mechanical and model and texture work, uploaded it with no indication whatsoever that that is what it does.
Big doubt that they don't just review descriptions after a cursory look for weird files and a virus scan. Odds are they rely on reports.

I need that mod, man. Or at least one giving him ugly scars that match his greentext stories. I'd also made his devil form look actually as hideous as the game tries to portrait it, but doesn't.

Technically this is not an anti ****** mod at all.
It gives Reddit ******* heart attack, so it counts

Just created an account to thank you.
I tried playing the game but pretty much had to go puke when I saw all the tiresome pandering to the mentally deranged.
And also to ask if this mod needs an update (to the game patch that was just released). I was about to start a new game, got all the mods ready, and boom game gets updated.

This mod was updated recently, but some other mods are outdated and don't work properly.

I mean, a game patch was released yesterday. This mod has been updated a week ago.
I meant to ask if the mod needs an update to be functional or not (since with some mods in some games, game version doesn't really matter much as you change some xml values in some obscure table, but in some mods it's very important to update, and since I know nothing about BG3 modding, I ask )

It should be fine from what i can tell from the patch notes. I can't check right now unfortunately. You just have to install it. Btw you can remove this mod at any time in your gameplay.

What in unholy guacamole I just read. I haven't reached Act 3 yet, did they really execute a full *** animation for this?
Yes, the new cutscene before Ansur fight built around BG's past, how Balduran and Ansur together founded BG and then Balduran became Emperor and killed Ansur. And there is dialog line from Emperor, in which he states 'we were friends' and Ansur replies 'yes, friends, and even more' (yes, italic font is in original). So, Balduran, as it turned out, idk, fisted Ansur with his sword, that's how it ended inside Ansur...

"So why did you guys kill each other?"
"The ******* italic, man."
"Understandable, have a nice day."

No, PC just observer in this dialog. Ansur sounds very offended (guess we now know who was passive in their relations), Emperor just 'whatever' and then fight starts by Ansur trying to kill PC because he wants to kill 'Emperor's thrall' and to destroy prism to ease his butt-pain, idk
