Junior Adventurer's Guild: February - The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Is Dunmer the best race for your first playthrough? I chose Dunmer and started a playthrough, thinking it's best to go the default race and makes most sense from a lore perspective for the Nerevarine. But I keep getting called outlander and N'wah by everybody! Is Morrowind's racism just so advanced that I'm getting clocked as an outsider for having a different accent? Or is it more immersive to go another race?

Gigachud noticers got you dialed, homeboy! And you say you're not from Vvardenfell
Man as if I couldn't tell
Well you think you pull your bonemold boots on right
And wear your Colovian fur helm so well
Depending on what you want. There's not much racial reactivity in the game narrative.
You may be dunmer but you were not raised in Morrowind. You're still a foreigner if only culturally.loregamer wrote: ↑ May 29th, 2026, 12:08Is Morrowind's racism just so advanced that I'm getting clocked as an outsider for having a different accent?
You definitely didn't bask in Tribunal's glory for decades, you n'wah!

I am having a great time. Spent 1 hour last night just reading books to learn the lore. There was a Dunmer Empress?? I'm glad the power returned back to the actual Septim bloodline. I also had no idea Uriel VII, the same emperor you meet in Oblivion, was emperor during Morrowind, Daggerfall, AND Arena. Crazy influence this guy had
Nobody in Seyda Neen cared I took care of the bandits in the cave nearby
Fargoth is depressed the "imperials" took all his gold, but I didn't take his ring from the tree stump, so he still has it at least. After that, I wasn't sure if there were more quests to do there and I was so weak that I had to leave the cave and return 2 times to regenerate my magicka and health, so I went to Balmora and joined the Mages Guild to become STRONGER. I was a bit disappointed all the NPCs I've interacted with there are women, but I suppose it would make sense women would rely on magic instead of fighting.
Ajira just asked me to deliver a letter to her friend in Old Ebonheart, which is from the Tamriel Rebuilt mod. I'm gonna trvst the plvn of the TR Rebuilt Factions add-on and head over there, then return to the mainland later. Everyone is so mean to me in Vvardenfell so maybe it'll be nice to get off the mainland for a bit, then return stronger!

It's also heavily implied the player character from arena is Ocato, who appears in Oblivion. Also sends you letters in Morrowind and is the guy holding the torch in the Daggerfall introloregamer wrote: ↑ May 31st, 2026, 14:40I am having a great time. Oh, and if you care about TES lore, the guy holding the torch in that video is most likely the protagonist of Arena. Also, he sends you a letter in Morrowind & is a major character in Oblivion.
It's never spelled out exactly, but you can piece it together from the Daggerfall manual + ending of Arena, nobody else really fits the description given besides the Arena protagonist. Which would make him the only recurring TES (mainline) protagonist. The guy that Ocato replaced was, after all, the big bad guy of Arena — and Ocato was the only person in Uriel Septim's inner circle that he trusted, according to the manual.
Which, when taken together with the end of Arena…

Glad I went to Old Ebonheart early level. Beautiful area!

The design is pretty smart and seems catered to early levels. I tried going straight to a town south to complete a quest for the Mages Guild (having a great time with that, very funny questlines), but there's someone with a bounty that's blocking the road path that one shots me when I try to fight her, so I decided to just explore the towns I found along the way.

I also haven't decided if I'll do every faction this playthrough or not. I was desperate for gold, so I decided to just steal **** that wasn't nailed down, so I guess joining the Thieves Guild makes sense. The Old Ebonheart thieves guild questline is supposedly really good, but I dunno if I shouldn't contentmaxx in one playthrough

I'm porting this mod to OpenMW since I think Speechcraft is pretty annoying
SmoothTalker - Speechcraft and Persuasion overhaul
It's going alright. OpenMW's lua api is unfortunately a lot less powerful than MWSE for original Morrowind
But I'm managing to port most of the mod
If you guys have any suggestions on changes I should make to the mod, lemme know. I plan to add an AI Voice addon to it as well
