What game are you playing?
After pondering, the only mod i MIGHT recommend for a first mostly vanilla run is this:
https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4245
Spartan storage capacity is a pain in vanilla and having a place at camp to store gear isn't game breaking imo, just a QOL feature.
Reason why i'm hesitant is because it also lets you level up material tier of gear you have which breaks both eco and balance. So either don't use that feature or save it for second round onwards when you have a good idea of what you might like when mod window shopping.
I recall some making threads about mod overviews for certain games and giving their opinion of them which made for some fun reads so if there is interest could try writing something like that up if there is a willing audience.
I've taken a look at Marathon series and have to say, these games are great. Not a fan of the consolefag Halo **** it eventually became, but Marathon 2 in particular is p. badass. Half Life stole its title as a shooter with a good story.
So we walked down the hill into all those fears and maybes, all that sorrow, nothing certain in our lives except the frozen earth beneath our feet.
I think it may have been the only reason to own a Mac at one point.

Finished Breath of the Wild. Didn't care for the ways it encouraged grinding, but it had some all right puzzles (some with more flexible answers than others) and combat. Nintendo did get surprisingly sloppy with the framerate in a few areas. I was surprised to see so many people work on a game that looks like it's from the 00s, though I guess it did have a lot of content and assets.
Now play the 70 dollar DLC.

Fortunately I have a good number of things to get to before I can even think about trying this out.
I hate Blood but love Shadow Warrior, will that affect my enjoymentRoguey wrote: ↑ June 7th, 2023, 20:42Completed Ion Fury. It had some obnoxious level design in the last half, but I had a lot of fun. It's my observation that the people who hated this really liked Blood and/or Shadow Warrior and I hated those games myself, so that makes sense.
I think you might possibly like it more, yeah. Played Star Trek Resurgence. A real shame this wasn't Elite Force 3. It has a good Trek plot with TNG aesthetics, but the "gameplay" only serves to slow down delivery of voice acting.
It also suffers from streaming series syndrome in that it's plot is one really long episode instead of a small handful of shorter adventures, which would have served as a better framing mechanism for the interpersonal things they wanted to do with the crew. It's hard to convey the passage of time needed for people to trust each other with their lives when no time has passed.
I did like that I could discard a couple of the voiced characters that were annoying, but usually the response options were 3 ways to say the same thing.

In the new port you can alter the damage on everything if it bothers you that much.Roguey wrote: ↑ June 19th, 2023, 13:22I think you might possibly like it more, yeah. You're going to buy it 5 times and then all the servers will shut down and you won't be able to play any of the 5 copies you bought.

I have Duke, Shadow, and Blood. I have like 4 versions of each. It's kinda silly. I blame Randy Pitchford.

Randy will die one day then maybe a new Duke Nukem game can come out. Time to Kill was the last great one and it was on the PS1.

☆HQ Defense Force☆
If SDG enjoys the game you can guarantee it is dumbed down even more than 3.

He bought it but it was booted up once and then he put it away so he could play with his PS5. I'm honestly just jealous that he can waste money like that.
