Holy crap, thank you. I didn't think anyone would actually fix this game. Where's it stand in terms of progress? Is most the dialogue fixed?
Depends entirely on what exactly you mean by fixed....

Basically what you've been doing from what I can see. Recharacterization, revoiced, etc.

I'm pretty much done for the summer. I worked hard to get the audio for Seelie done from the DLC just released, so no one would be left waiting for that.

All modules are "complete" as far as I have been able to tell, unless I have missed things. Which is possible.

In the fall/winter, when I get around to my own playthrough finally, I'll probably end up changing a bunch more things as I discover them.

Great mod. Playing in Russian, it's a must-have mod even without localization. 3D models and voices are great. The character names and pronouns are vanilla of course, but that's still
fine. What's funny is that Owlcat is a russian studio and yet there's so much woke propaganda in this game. Not on the level of BG3, but still. I guess they wanted to seem western and progressive and took it a bit too far

Nope, it's not because of Owlcat and rather Paizo (Owners of Pathfinder, if you check Rogue Trader, it has classic non pozzed relationships and as far as I saw almost no **** or ********)

@PsychoBoy90 @Finarfin

Hey guys, just an FYI (and a reminder to Finarfin):

If you want the mods to be localized to your language, the only lines of dialog that need translation are the ones found in the 'enGB.json' files of the module archives. For example, in the "WW_Seelie" module, you'd extract the RAR, then look in the ZIP, and within the ZIP structure it's in 'Modifications\WW_Seelie\Localization\enGB.json.

If either of you were to provide translations for those files in the modules, I could implement language localization.

You wouldn't even have to do "full" translations from English, because the GUID keys for each line already exist in your languages in the main game language localization files (ruRU.json for Russian and deDE.json for German), so you could cross reference the GUIDs from the module enGB.json to find their respective entry in your language JSON, and then make the changes from there.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, give me a couple hours and I'll provide you with a version of the mod jsons in your languages with the unedited dialogs. Then all you'd need to do is make the necessary changes to match the pronouns etc and any dialog changes based on comparison to the mod enGB.jsons.

@Finarfin @PsychoBoy90

Packages containing files for translation are up on the main mod page, in a table below the 'Downloads' table.

The packages contain a folder for each mod, along with the mod enGB.json containing the English mod dialog strings, and the language JSON containing the strings that need to be edited/translated to match the English strings in the enGB.json.

Note that in a lot of cases the only thing needing to be changed might just be character names (i.e. 'Seelah' to 'Seelie' and 'Anevia' to 'Anevian') but in other cases, I made significant changes to the actual dialog, which will require a more robust translation to the new language.

Seeing as I use Notepad+++, changing the names should be easy as pie since I can select all instances of Seelah or Anevia and let it automatically change to Anevian.

Thank you so much for this mod, I loved the game but put it down mid playthrough because of all the woke nonsense.

I spent this weekend trying my hand at portraits of Seelie and Irabeth, using some tips from Rand and LeBooke69, along with a bit of AI magic. I ended up liking the final result, so I'll be sharing the pictures here in case anyone else wants to use them.

I tried my best to follow the game's art style, there might be some AI slop hiding somewhere. I've completely changed their faces, adjusted their bodies to be more feminine, and maintained the overall background. Anyway, have fun!

Seelie:

Irabeth (It is a tiny bit blurry, but I don't remember in the game seeing anything other than her medium portrait or the small, if needed I can try to fix it):

I'm trying to translate Anevian in Russian and it's not that easy. All verbs in the past tense have gender-specific endings. This means a lot more lines need to be changed compared to English. That dude has a ton of dialog.
Well, I went through the stuff that was in the file. but I'll have to add extra key-value objects to that JSON. Just have to play the game and add them in the process I guess. Wokeless modding is hard :)

@Gildan

Fixed! Updated to 1.6a, which implemented these fixes to the WW_Anevian module only.

See the main mod page, changelog updated to 1.6a and mentioned you and your post. This is precisely what I'm looking for to help identify any and all areas that require further edits.

To implement in your game, just redownload the WW_Anevian module and reinstall. The new changes will take effect immediately.

Is it at all feasible to de-greenskin Irabeth?
Or is there too much "orc" based dialogue?
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

I'm sure it is, but I'm not sure why you would want to? Irabeth being a half-orc actually makes her being a warrior plausible.

Yeh, the women on positions of authority that this game features aren't particularly bright. Both Irabeth and Queen Galfrey have the mental prowess of moody teenagers.

Is something I have noticed from pretty much all woke settings that are obsessed with girl bosses as well funnily enough.

Did the recent 2.3.2c update break compatibility with this mod? I installed the modules I wanted, including the ones for Anevia and Seelah, and so far as I play through the same prologue part shown in the video OP posted to showcase differences, there's an error on my end.
The error is regarding Anevia, whose name remains unchanged and the narration text keeps to refering to her as a woman.
I reinstalled the mods once more and made a new character to make sure it wasn't an exceptional error, but the result is the same.

For reference, I installed:
Anevian
NoAlphabets
Seelie
SosielTrever
Undiversified

Lovely mod btw

I am having the same problem... but only after the 1.6a update. I reinstalled these patches with the 1.6 version of Anevian and it worked. Something most have gone haywire from 1.6 to 1.6a.

@Valter @Gildan

For crying out loud....

Maybe one day I'll be able to post an update without breaking my mod :notsureif:

When I added the edits required for what @Gildan pointed out, I missed a single colon which broke the whole sound.json. It should be fixed now.

I didn't make a new update version, but the WW_Anevian link goes to a new archive now that should work as it's supposed to.

This got me thinking of how difficult it is to differentiate between what might be considered a normal character that happens to be X, Y, or Z, and what would be considered a woke element.
Some are very obvious, yes, but others... it'd be a tough call. I guess that's where people start discussing it (or nuke the whole thing as they see it as tainted).

Thanks for making such a mod and putting all that effort in to make the game better =3

That's the problem nowadays. Now you can never know if a black character is in it because they thought she/he would be cool and all or if they put them in because "lets infest this with *******"
