I would say to try using a different skin and see if his face changes for the best, but the lyrium thing might come with the mod so it might require some more fiddling to add to the new skin (and that is something I might be able to do, though my work would be mediocre compared to any real artists but I can surely give it a try!). If it indeed instead is a mesh problem with the light, that is beyond me to help, but I think asking help in the Wyll thread or similar might have some real artists able to make this work!

If it is a texture problem, it might be that they've just lifted it directly from DA:2.

Some games (like Morrowind) have shadows / lighting as part of the texture as there wasn't really any post-processing back then.

Might also be that it's using a DA:2 Normal Map, so it has a different effect to a BG3 one?
