It was inevitable. The right to sell a product that self-destructs is already established and has even been used by book publishers before.

No it isn't. There are more groups in the EU than just the EU Commission, and the Commission wasn't even the main target. SKG in Europe continues.

It was dead from the beginning, the EU has no teeth.

i have yet to read a compelling refute of the following:

if the whole shtick of SKG is to force developers to create offline (or even self hosted) versions of live service or multiplayer only games then can SKGers compel me to actually care about live service or multiplayer only games? is there really anything lost by **** games like the crew, concord and soon new world or destiny being shut down? surely one must realise that live service games are generally garbage anyway so actually worth saving?

tl;dr **** games (multiplayer and live service) get shutdown because theyre ****, good live service and multiplayer games stay alive because theyre good, why would you want to preserve **** games? are you ******** *****?

Good live service games will get shut down when they want you to play their ****** Unreal engine 5 remaster.
Also, why would you ever take the side of the companies over the gamers? Even if it's disingenuous or unreasonable.
Yes, I think Denuvo should be outlawed and developers should be forced to open source every game and allow self-hosted lobbies for everything.

I think more multiplayer games should have bots so that you can play them long after they're dead :) I am playing Day of Infamy right now and it has excellent bots.

The Crew was apparently a good game (though I haven't played it).
Actually, this might make live service less appealing, therefore reducing the amount of live service games.

You also seem to be under the conception that games are shut down because they aren't good, and not because the publisher makes a profit from forcing you to buy a newer game. Even when its worse than the older game. Normally this wouldn't work, but with live service it does.

"Good live service games" don't exist.
Also, why would you ever take the side of the companies over the gamers? Even if it's disingenuous or unreasonable.
I hate gamers because they're all ********.

Honestly I still remember when Louis saw Thor going
"I'm not talking with you because you insulted the honor of politicians by implying they'd chase after a easy win and popular approval and you know nothing and you're a idiot, I don't even care"
Which was the shittiest cover story I've ever seen, like who even cares about politicians? Everyone says this ****...

Anyways, Louis' saw this and his response was telling people to try a little harder to talk with Thor and that everyone else was being unreasonable.

the only thing it had going for it was a huge *** map apart from that it was a ****** racing game with lag, awful ui and mtx spammed everywhere. the gaming scene loses absolutely nothing by being unable to play it anymore
