I disagree, it's good when the aristocratic class uses their natural advantage. It is not my fault when I am capable of avoiding detection by anti-cheat, it is me using my God-given talents. Why are you disagreeing with God?

But that's not true, their inherent talent is being able to perform the same mundane task without losing interest. God did not give me this talent, instead he gave me the talent to automate such tasks.

Is it cheating if they use their natural genetics to perform repetitive tasks without losing interest to gain an advantage not available to people without such genetics? (This exists, look into genetics selected for in East Asians due to rice farming)
What about if users were using stimulants to confer such advantages? Is that cheating?

Neither of those is cheating. They do not violate the rules of the game. If you don't like being out-competed, play a game with rules that favor your talents and not theirs.

I think smoking meth is bad for other reasons, but it's not cheating by the rules of a video game. It probably is considered cheating in other types of competitions.

I should probably add that I only condone cheating insofar that it's automating a mundane task AKA botting.
Cheating that involves skipping the task or giving a flat out unfair advantage otherwise not obtainable is bad cheating and ruins games.

This is why peasant cheating is bad, it kills the game. Aristocratic cheating is respecting my time and inability to repeatedly perform mundane tasks like a worker drone.

It's pretty easy to setup. I gave it a quick try. The rewards are multiplied if you have a full team however. Our host was Chinese, because the first thing they say is: private games only! Don't open it up to randoms! Leave it to the Chinese to let in the peasants.

That said, the ship upgrades are diminishing returns at the higher levels. And I have all the warbonds I want. The limiter are medals but using the "mod" to almost max those out isn't fun in the long term. If I was to continue to use this thing it's about as much fun as "player.additem f 100000". (Those who know, know.) Booooring.

Hunting for the giant arrows is actually a lot more fun anyway.

I don't like cheating. Throwing out the rules of the game entirely defeats the point of playing the game at all. The truly refined and erudite individual exploits instead, playing the game as it actually is.

Anyone else getting the "sound" or "freezing" bug? We've loosely figured out it gets worse after about 3 games. Quitting then going again at least for now seems to keep it at bay. Just tried doing 6 and the 6th game was nothing but a freeze festival. :headbang:

It seems mostly okay around 3 missions, any more and it starts getting worse. On my 6th mission tonight (it's not tomorrow until I say it is) I had several multiple second pauses. It's not lag as the network was fine too. I checked. My friend I play with is getting them too.

@Nessa I have not played for that long so I can only say what I observed but, bottom line, I can confirm as well to be getting these things as Finarfin mentioned too.

In my case, and from playing Path of Exile 2 and, in the past, Sacred 2 that also gave me this issue (there were other titles but I forget at the moment), the issue was always memory related, usually CPU. My game is quite alright until there are too many enemies or my CPU is loading other things (like the browser) in the background. It freezes at times, but the one thing that happens the most often that I recognize as a warning sign is that the sound either cuts, disappears, or lags behind. The sound is the first thing to go, the image is next. I have yet to test the lower difficulties extensively, but, in my case, it happens with the "cult guys" (violet side of the map) on any difficulty during city scenes, whereas with the others, it has only happened with the bots on higher difficulties and, thus far, none with the "hive", which I find surprising seeing the amount of units and smoke that is usually around with missions with them.
If you had no issues before but are having them now, then I can believe it might be patch related indeed. I myself was playing only on lower difficulty (did not see how to change difficulty at first) and I cannot say if it lagged the same before the patch due to that (as I do believe the lag is due to there being too many entities, at least on my end and if I had to guess, despite the fact that it runs without issues on even the most intense battles and it truly seems randomized).
I did try every enemy at the time, but the "cult guys" were only in certain maps that have never given me issues, so it is hard to say, but I had the most issues with them by far.

At first I thought it was only higher difficulties. But my recent test showed it doesn't even matter. After the 3rd mission it starts cropping up on easy OR extreme. At first we reduced all audio mods thinking that was it but they're all gone and it's still doing it on the 4th mission and getting progressively worse every mission after that. :headbang:

At least for now, we can quit after 3 missions and start again and that seems to keep it clear.

If it gets worse over time like you describe, I'm going to guess it's probably a memory leak making the game start paging, and paging is slow and causes freezes.

What enemies were you fighting, if I may ask? I might try myself and see if I get the same issue. For me it was only the "cult guys" that give issues no matter the difficulty while the others were quite alright thus far besides the bots on higher (more entities) ones.

Had sound/freeze bug on: bugs and bots. I don't really play the collectors (they remind me of collectors from ME2) very often. Too hard. Love their style though.

EDIT: Should mention I just got done with 3 extreme missions in a row: no bug. 4th: starts showing up. :headbang: I think for now quitting and restarting seems to be the best solution if you're planning on a bunch of missions.

From what you are saying it does indeed sound like what Stack said above with the memory leak, as things pile up, and they might be piling up faster with some enemies or environments in some way. My best guess at the least.
It is very curious you had issues with the bug guys, those are the only ones that have been running smoothly for me. Bots though, indeed, on my end as well. Will have to try and do a sort of "counting missions", and see when do I start to see issues on all three and let you know!
Fair disclaimer that I am quite surprised my pc can run this game without stutter or issues, so my experience might be different

Having to restart the game to get another "grace period" without stuttering is a dead giveaway for a memory leak because the OS frees the memory when the program closes. You should check the game's memory usage in task manager to diagnose.
