FLNV had so many interesting factions, Legion, NCR, Mr House. The Outer Worlds 1 is a **** "corporations bad, now go consume product" game.
FLNV had so many cool firearms, lever action 45-70 guns, anti materiel rifles, shotguns with slugs, incendiary ammo and even coin shot. OW has neon weapons
FLNV had in depth progression. TOW has dumbed down progression.

And Outer Worlds 2 looks even worse than the first one...

If it makes you feel better the opening cutscene and following level are so horribly atrocious and the presentation so off putting even if you gave the game a chance you wouldn't have made it past the first hour or so before deciding you'd rather do literally anything else with your life instead of playing that humongous ******* turd of a game.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Obsidian sticking with the body type 1/2 business, huh.

TTN is 6 minutes counting the intro and time spent in character creation. Second person you see.

Quite a few minutes of dull exposition in the beginning.

One of the first things you do requires putting an object into another object and it's just a few feet away in the same room, baby mode tutorial.

The game tells you to pick up a knife for sneak attacks but the journalist playing it just tries to punch an enemy in the head instead and has to shoot his way out of the stealth section.

Combat looks fine, think they've put quite a bit more work into hit reactions. It doesn't look like Unreal-trying-to-emulate-Bethbryo anymore.

Maybe the person playing is a fool but I'm uncertain if it's possible to complete the game without killing anyone like the first, there were a few combat set pieces.

Typical post-Avellone Obsidian. Solid gameplay, bland writing only with more budget this time around.

It will sell 7 copies.

Deadfire barely outdid PoE because sequels don't have the same selling power as blatant nostalgia/brand-bait unless the first game is actually good. The first game sucked.

I didn't even finish Outerworlds and I have beaten significantly worse games. My tolerance for woke **** was so much higher in 2019. I beat Dragon Age Inquisition. I beat Deadfire at least two times.
I couldn't finish Outer Worlds(pre-DLC) which is …maybe? 30 hours. I got to the planet that has the city with painted on doors that you can't enter and said **** it.

This is going to bomb but they'll pretend it sold 7 gorillion copies because sloppass

Tim Cain is convinced it will sell because it sold 2 million out the gate and then another 3 million over the next three years, and this was with gamepass. I suppose it's possible far fewer of 'em will show for the sequel even if it looks to be a somewhat-better experience.

They had to cut the price before it even launched.

$80 was ridiculous, it doesn't look like an $80 mass-normie-appeal must-buy thing.

I played the first game not so long ago, maybe 4 or 5 years have passed since then, but I can't remember a single quest in detail. It was a very bland game. They somehow ****** up a space game. Twice apparently.

Tim Cain Is delusional but I guess if you pad the numbers with gampass it will be the best selling obsidian game they ever release.

There really aren't any good space RPGs so this is in fact very easy. Hard Nova? Charred Nova. Buck Rogers? Broken.

Forgot Bethesda also ****** up with Starfield. I guess I'll just stick to classics.

Looks like you have to buy it online.

I can't be bothered, I think a cup of coffee has enough caffeine for me, more than that might be harmful with my low body mass.

I'm convinced that all these **** games are taxpayer funded like the BBC. They wouldn't risk such huge financial losses otherwise nor would they have the funds to continue pumping them out

One explanation is that all these MS developers are just ******** out slop for the sake of generating content, regardless of contnet or financial viability, just so JeetSoft can justify the price of a Game Pass subscription.

I remember thinking that the first game was remarkable in how entirely forgettable it was. I played it on goypass back when you could do the one dollar sign up exploit and put in about six hours. I can't remember a single thing aside from the asexual lesbian who wanted you to be her wing man.

Mediocre or bad games can still have parts that are good.
