It’s a shame he doesn’t make youtube videos because of his mental and other personal issues.Faceless_Sentinel wrote: ↑ October 24th, 2024, 08:01His great legacy, dispelling all the praise and cult status of this game series will live forever!Rand wrote: ↑ October 24th, 2024, 05:38

I don't know how I'd feel about it in the current climate, but back in the day I liked it. I hated the concept behind it but the game ended up being fun.LemonDemonGirl wrote: ↑ October 24th, 2024, 06:44I can't bring myself to play 10-2. It's such a ******* mood whiplash from the first one it's incredible.

How can you not want to play sailor moon dress up the game.
I recently replayed FFX, and this game hasn’t aged a bit. It’s still the same incredible JRPG I remember. The atmosphere, story, characters, gameplay, world-building, and soundtrack are all just as amazing as ever. Back in the day, I was a huge JRPG fan, but in recent years, I haven’t played many new ones. I thought I had simply lost interest, but replaying FFX made me realize the issue isn’t me—it’s the newer JRPGs. They’ve lost that magical touch, that intensity, imagination, and emotional depth.
The final part of FFX is a perfect example. Tidus understanding that he’s not a time traveler but a walking dream, and his farewell with Yuna—a simple back hug, a heartfelt “Thank you”—is profoundly moving. It’s infinitely more powerful than the explicit-vulgar- scenes in FFXVI. Moments like this are what make FFX-and old JRPG- timeless and legendary.
However, FFX-2 was clearly the beginning of the end. This installment feels entirely meaningless. The story is pointless, and the "true ending" completely undermines the impactful conclusion of FFX. Yuna’s character shifts from an elegant, dignified woman to a stupid *****. The new character (forgot the name) is both insufferable and ugly. While the concept of changing outfits for each class was great, I agree it would have been far more effective in a turn-based system.
I could never bring myself to finish this game because it became boring very quickly.
And I don't think any of the newer Final Fantasy games have managed to deliver a scene as beautiful as this one, have they?

FF14 has its moments, but they are stretched out across a 400+ hour visual novel length story unlike the older FFs which were 30 hours or less. FF15 has two scenes near/at the end.KOS-MOS wrote: ↑ November 23rd, 2024, 21:56And I don't think any of the newer Final Fantasy games have managed to deliver a scene as beautiful as this one, have they?
