This showcase reinforms my opinion that indie games sucks *** that even the most mediocre uninspired AAA game is still more entertaining than these supposed “independent artists games”

Mortal Shell 2 looked good.
Chronicles Medieval seems interesting.
Sonic Racing looked fun but if i get the switch later this year it is basically obsolete because of MK World
Death Stranding 2 is nice too, hope the PC version comes out.
Game of Thrones RTS might be cool. The trailer certainly was better than the entirety of Season 8.
Code Vein 2 looked great.
Atomic Heart 2 and The Cube looked very nice
Chrono Odyssey is an MMORPG I am very hyped for.
Onimusha looked great too, looking forward playing Musashi Miyamoto
Lies of P was great even If I'm not a big soulslike fan.
Dying Light The beast was cool ( thankfully I get it for free)
Mafia was refreshing,no ******* anywhere.
I'm interested in The First Descendent but not sure if it's worth getting in now.
Stranger than Heaven was cool ,hope the combat will be weighty and brutal
REquiem looks interesting, just hoping it's not black goo again.
Fractured Blooms was interesting.
Acts of Blood looked kinda like Ongbak but in game form
ILL looks disgusting, i like it.
Wuchang was awesome.

I'm kind of hoping atomic heart 2 can replace the far cry series.

Chronicles medieval could be cool if it's like mount and blade but nothing was really shown.

Ill looks like it has cool physics like rage 1

I tried the first descendant the gameplay is awful feels like mobile game shooter.

I'm uncertain about death stranding 2. I loved the first game and got attached to the bb but kojima seems to be working with a lot of Africans for the second game and the main female got a butch haircut.

Sega has the license to make Miku videogames and thus can add her to the game.

WHAT is the void
HOW did it take your world
WHERE did it start? WHAT led to it?

Too many of these "games" ditch the opportunity to build up their world. It's dark fantasy too, so it's not like they are looking at this viciously hard task.

I'm glad to see you are summing up the game shows again. It's both entertaining and informative at the same time.

Also, would you say this image does a good job at summing up State of Play this year?

Do people actually care about the plot in RE games?

I'm not trying to sound dismissive, you criticism is valid, but Capcom have been spinning the proverbial wheel when it comes to the "overarching" plot ever since RE4 derailed the whole setting by taking out Umbrella inbetween games, and the writers are seemingly incapable of coming up with anything else to replace it with.

Where do you even take RE after Umbrella is dealt with? Go the MGS route and explore the proliferation of (bio)weapons? Delve into the past of the Umbrella founders and where their bioweapons originate from? They've already done both. Maybe transition into a dystopian future where repeated use of bioweapons is slowly turning the planet into a hellscape full of organic, man-made horrors?

Doesn't help that none of the popular cast members have seemingly experienced character development, they've been in statis for the past 20 years, and since Capcom insists on keeping the games in the present, they're all growing far too old to keep playing action hero. The issue is that Capcom has also failed to come up with suitable replacements for them, so now they're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Day of the Devs
June 6, 2025
4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET
A look at upcoming indie games from the non-profit Day of the Devs.
Tim Schäfer the ****** is onscreen and has a gay bit going on (not sure about the bit though)
Negress with a white womans haircut onscreen now.

Gay World Premiere:
A literal mexican goblin is working at "No Goblin"
Snap and Grab. Photo Crime Adventure.
Cringy "Whats that? I'm glad you asked!" bit.
Ofcourse a brown woman is the greatest photographer and also a thief.
You shoot photos of stuff you can potentially steal and then make plans to get them.
A white woman is your counterpart, trying to get you before you steal ****.
Looks gay, cringe and brownoid.

Untitled Goose Game devs
Big Walk. You talk and walk in this game. Proximity voice chat, you sound different in this game depending on where you are. If you are in an hallway, it has echos, if you are behind soundproof glass no one hears you and so on.
If you can't hear someone, you have to make do with gestures. There is a proximity text chat too. A big open world for you to take a big walk. If you lose eachother, you have means to find eachother again. There are challenges all over. Seems like wholesome little fun.
2026

Sword of the Sea
You surf on a sword, very cool visuals. All about movement. Fancy pseudo-talk about muh "connection to nature and ****, while snowboarding" Music from some guy that worked on the previous games like Journey.

Coop game, some journofags say "best coop experience since it takes two"
Escape Rooms? Puzzles. Some academy. Open World.
Escape Academy Back 2 School.
****** dude and pink haired woman on the cover.

****** Mixtape game.
Won't react to this.

Blighted
More gameplay, Hardcore action metroidvania set in western psychodelic nightmare. Dynamic difficulty. Enemies and world change.

****** minority lead dev that prides itself about making games with underrepresented cultures and themes.

Dosa Divas. Sounds poo in the loo ****. Ofcourse the setting is "No one cooks food anymore because food is in tubes now and only the disgusting looking ****** woman and the equally disgusting ****** ******** do, and as always muh spices muh huwhite peepo don seyson dey fud" Cops also look gay as ****.
Creative director looks like a call center scammer with gay red highlights.

Next game shows a white redhead teacher who gets paper planes thrown towards him. Power goes out. some Hell door opens and his pupils are eaten. He sad and angry now. Possessors, you play some ****** tumblr looking OC with a hockey stick in this 2d platformer.

Moonlighter 2. Switched from 2d to 3d Zelda like. Basically the same as the first game but 3d and more polished.

Please touch the Artwork. Some faggy artsy fartsy game where you touch artworks in a puzzle like way.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion. A Retro Beat em Up.

A boring "muh niggerman save me cthulu" looking pixel game
Neverway, a farm game with horror aspects. Female MC

****** game about doing ****** things. Stealing ****** artifacts from evil white man who had the audacity to preserve your ****** ****** culture while you literally destroy everything for temporary gain. Of course a fat ****** woman guilt trips white people and the game also preaches to you.

Japanese devs. Ratatan, a rhythm game where you fight enemies with rhythm. Looks cool. July 25th

Warren Fagtor shows his gay multiplayer gayme. Thick as Thieves.

Pocket Boss is a short game about the small joys of manipulating data.
Gay minigames.

Consume Me.
Chinkshit about eating and ******** and her ****** life and of course crying about how "no european museum ever yet featured exhibits of her art" wtf does that mean? her art? go to a ***** focussed museum then. I literally have a Asian History Museum in my city.
A game about this narcisstic dev made by her white boyfriend dev. Pathetic.

OFF
LOOKS like the upteemth earthbound clone. So wacky and whimsical, am I right?

TireBoy action Platformer. You play a tire boy, fighting enemies, helping others and trying to figure out his past. Funny.

Swedecucks. Devs of Toem
Toem 2, basically the same game I guess.

That's all the Day of the ******* stream had to offer.

Revelations 2 set up Alex Wesker getting away with her plot of putting herself in that little girl's body, though I suppose they have to wait until enough time has passed for her to be a proper adult again.

I don't, I just think it would be preferrable to have a boring and inoffensive protagonist, rather than some obnoxious current year quirktard stereotype.

a large chunk of these false-starts were fairly decent.
Illuminati/freemason type organization that secretly pulls the strings behind the scenes and using bioweapons to usher the new world order was probably their most promising direction. Too bad Capcom never followed it.
