I sincerely hope this game flops, but unfortunately being degenerate and gay does not lead to lower sales in this day and age. Baldur's Gate 3 being proof of that. Hell even RPGHQ users shilled for it, particularly Rusty who is especially fond of the gay bear sex scene. 'Tis true.
Itβs true and it was really ******* annoying, I had to work overtime calling everyone a ****** for weeks.KnightoftheWind wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 18:59I sincerely hope this game flops, but unfortunately being degenerate and gay does not lead to lower sales in this day and age. I don't encourage full boycotts because they don't work, I encourage soft boycotts via piracy which can actually work.

I dunno, I'd imagine giving the game headspace by talking about it and keeping it relevant helps it a LOT more than not playing it and not giving a **** about it.rusty_shackleford wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 19:04KnightoftheWind wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 18:59I sincerely hope this game flops, but unfortunately being degenerate and gay does not lead to lower sales in this day and age. I absolutely expected a nig-nog in this game since the news of a release, but a faggotry, why?
I can even understand their crappy modern logic of adding an medieval *****, maybe it was some ******** acceptable soy-boy brain cause and effect relationship like -"We will add a black character 'cause it's like big city and shiiiiet, and even though he faces a daily abuse and alienated he will act cool";
It's just a 5/10 ****** points.
But the ****** thing is something else, they are determinately went out of their way to make this abhorrent move.
To quote my friend: "Did they also add the option to burn at the stake when you get caught"?
I simply don't understand why they even bother, soy and degenerate auditory is simply not their focus, if to mark ceo's words, they've been pre-preemptively attacked by them even
I'm just disappointed, can't even blame the ***** for this one, morons decided to sit down on both chairs, the one with sharpened spikes and the one with jerked cocks.

I don't know, I think bad news in this respect isn't good for them. A lot of people are extremely tired of the woke and the more it gets plastered out there that this is a game for ***, fem and ****** worship, the chances are it harms sales.KnightoftheWind wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 19:07I dunno, I'd imagine giving the game headspace by talking about it and keeping it relevant helps it a LOT more than not playing it and not giving a **** about it.rusty_shackleford wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 19:04KnightoftheWind wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 18:59I sincerely hope this game flops, but unfortunately being degenerate and gay does not lead to lower sales in this day and age. A lot of this crap I think is later in the game so most people not knowing are going to buy the game thinking it similar to the first then get the whammy after they can't return it.

Rather it sounds like 1/2 the movies/series out there that Hollywood pushes out. The whole "two **** going at it" thing is a staple in modern media these days that are trying to push the edge. I absolutely believe this is likely in a video game, especially one that has **** working for them.

One of the devs responded in the steam forum and used some extremely "loose" means to justify the existence of it that essentially ended in the supporting position of "plausible" which we all know is modern historian verbiage for "didn't happen, but we want it to be true".whiterussian wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 19:08I absolutely expected a nig-nog in this game since the news of a release, but a faggotry, why?

I asked the *same dude* about these comments and why they changed it, his answers, he is running damage control on steam:
don't know the reasons behind the design decisions.
Overall: Kingdom Come: Deliverance was always about the freedom of choice within the means of a designed story and history.
The answer I have given 8 years ago was not from Daniel Vávra himself who created Henry, but from me as a community manager to justify design decisions in the front of legit customer requests in the same way as you do now.
If there are options, we rather have more options than less options.
It was not our goal to make the most based game on the internet, but to follow a vision.
Funding back then was incredible hard, and KCD1 is full of compromises. There is no blacksmithing, no crossbows, no skill trees for polearms.
It was never our goal to make Henry straight because we wanted to exclude gay people.
We simply had to make the game like we did, because we had to follow the vision of it and we had no ability to write extra content, because it would have taken away from the core elements of the game.
With KCD2 this wasn't such a problem, so we can afford additional content which we never could have done in 2014. And if we can have more options instead of less options, just because some people like these options. We rather take more options.
My comment back then was not meant as a political dog whistle. People are people, we embrace them all, we are not here to pick sides in a culture war. And we were not 8 years ago when I wrote the other statement.
Resident Anti-feminist MRA, Race-mixer and no I'm not woke and not gay. Married with children, My writing style is shit, live with it or ignore me.

They still sat down, in a meeting room, and decided to ADD black & gay to the game, that didn't have it already.
They then committed resources to implementing specifically that, rather than anything else they could have been doing.
Why?

There is no other answer to get, he is the CM of warhorse as well, the real devs are hiding behind this dude to be spared the beating.
I answered as follows (yes I am a nice person.)
I thank you for your answer, honestly, it's not easy to answer in such a climate.
This answer is clearly not sufficient to describe what lead to the change though, though I can understand that you can not answer anything else.
Nobody thinks having an established character is a political dog whistle but that you think that (now) means you have either changed your opinion and became woke yourself or you Larped as reasonable (not right, not based, not centrist, just reasonable) back then.
People want to play a game with established lore and characters, because that is what KCD1 created, changing these especially because the wokies demand it (who are identity political marxists!) is what people complain about here.
Back then you said:
"There is nothing wrong about people to have different preferences and heritages, but we can not cover them all and we don´t want to,"
you have become a less reasonable and less good person since then, now the same thing that is still true, is a dog whistle to you, you should be ashamed.
I'm sorry if that is harsh, but it is true. I'm sorry that you are the one who takes the beating because others hide behind you.
You have lost me as a customer and whatever sales you lose, you have earned to lose.
EDIt: Also, Please forward this to the devs if you can, thank you,

Because they are lying pieces of ****. Sorry, this doesn't cut the mustard. This is all lies and show to excuse what they had always planned or caved to. Regardless, game deserves to be tanked for this complete lack of integrity. Might as well be DA: Deliverance to me.
I'm sure as **** soon modern developers will begin to feature pedophilia, just because it's a regular thing for modern "minority" and main stream sexual deviant groups

30 years ago I was in a conversation about **** and how it would keep going and going till it got absurd. We had just seen some weirdo guy in a grocery store who was what you would describe as ***** today (back then we called them freaks and mentally insane). I said just wait, this will become standard and mainstream will praise it... They all laughed and thought I was crazy with my "slippery slope" fallacy.
Yeah, who is laughing now... not me... but neither are they.

Depending on what you consider 'pedophilia' to be, and that Henry is a noble and therefore might actually get an arranged marriage, it would actually make more sense than him taking it up the bum.
The minimum age for marriage for a female at that time was 12(per the Catholic church), but the marriage wouldn't be consummated until she reached puberty.

Reminds me of the falling age of when children reach puberty, and some archaeologists pointed out that children used to reach puberty at an earlier age until the industrial era, and it's likely the conditions caused by industrialization that delayed puberty which are reverting.rusty_shackleford wrote: β January 21st, 2025, 19:40Depending on what you consider 'pedophilia' to be, and that Henry is a noble and therefore might actually get an arranged marriage, it would actually make more sense than him taking it up the bum.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out culturally tbh. Make no mistake tho, the average age of marriage for the normal person was still early 20s by all the records we have from medieval marriages.
