When you changed characters from female to male did you choose the circumcised or uncircumcised option in the character creator for them?
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Lol. The not very funny reply to this is: I never specified. So it will use the default penis for that race. Whatever that is.

I just need to know if this mod complies with rabbinic law so I can play on shabbat.

Yes it does :). There's a few lines that's been changed and a few previously changed lines that had typos.

Same as before. Unfortunately new method doesn't work with translations.
Use the file in the bottom of the download table under translator's resource

I thought just needed to find the equivalent handle and change the female pronoun to male pronoun and vice versa I believe? [then again I don't know how complicated that is for spanish]

Ohh, in Spanish we don't have pronouns... only "Γ©l" (for masculine) or "ella" (for feminine), for the woke language it is "elle", which is stupid
In any case, the feminine pronoun is almost always referring to that, sometimes we have for example... "cansada (female) or cansado (male)" (both are "tired") which are respectively like that, it's confusing haha

This is super impressive, and kudos for the remarkable creativity involved in pulling this off. I haven't delved into Act 2 yet, but I thought Act 1 was well-executed in maintaining a good balance of lore-friendliness. :)

I only wish there was a way to make the installation more modular to preserve the four major NPCs. This is purely personal preference; I can honestly do without drag queen Lucretius, but I liked Aylin and Sebastian as they appear in their original renditions.

Also, I want to thank you for the NPC replacer tutorial... my OCD has reached the point where I'm desperately trying to correct Fist Marcus' beard (and while I'm at it, give him a new head; if I succeed it will all be thanks to you), and yours was the absolute best tutorial on the whole internet.

In the meanwhile, I'm leaving an Italian translation that I'm going to use for my own playthrough. Feel free to reuse it. It's a mix of a GPT 4 translation of the English script + human review (mine). The best I could do without going too crazy. When in doubt, I tried to go for the "safest" contextual translations. I doubt it'll be perfect, but it should be workable. :)

If someone else feels like reviewing it and changing some lines -- once again, I am not in that part of the quest yet --, feel free to edit or change it.

Fixing a few key issues after reviewing the XML, sorry, this should be all. Once again, godspeed! ^_^

In the end, I became committed to the Ser Aylin mod too. Reflecting on this, I realized that to fully adapt it for languages with gendered adjectives/nouns/articles, there will be instances where neutral expressions pose a challenge still when starting from an English pre-selection. You've probably heard similar issues from our Spanish colleagues, as problems will arise with other Romance languages. For example, in Italian, "a cute boy" is "un ragazzo carino," while "a cute girl" is "una ragazza carina."

To illustrate, if someone in English told Ser Aylin "you're brave", the phrase remains unaffected by gender considerations in English -- and so, it won't really be on the English mod's radar. However, in Italian and other Romance languages, the translation could change the meaning depending on the words used ("hai coraggio" works, 100% gender-neutral, but "sei coraggioso/a" will not if we're swapping).

I would say that at least 80% of the instances have been addressed in the translation, but ensuring full accuracy without external help or actually playthrough-ing may be challenging. It would be amazing if the Spanish translator could share their approach if they encountered and resolved similar issues, since Spanish and Italian functionally work in the same fashion. Even better, just the extra lines would allow me to ensure consistency for Italian.

I guess I would/should consider creating a full mod in the future. I had only attached my XML for reference. :P

@Devseena Perhaps you can help our Italian translator out?

Also lowryder,
I suggest posting the translation as a new mod so you can get some feedback from Italian speakers.

Now that I have read the way to integrate the work into your mod more carefully, I will create a regular .pak in the upcoming days -- no worries! I do hope to garner feedback and fix any other case of gendered nouns/adjectives that are an issue only in Italian.

There's a "How to Translate this mod" section in the original post. Hope you found that one too :)

Not changing companions who are the crux of why the player-sexual writing sucks in the first place... oh man... why even download this mod.

Have you seen the mods to remove romance and/or make the companions heterosexual only?

Why bother complaining in such way? if the mod is not to your liking, don't download it. If you think something could be added or changed you could ask politely for the mod author or any other modder to do it and if they wanted to, they could but it seems quite disrespectful to create an account just to post that the mod is not to your liking.

As the others pointed out. Better Romance mod (viewtopic.php?p=40764) does that. And No Alphabets, just on its own is a lot of work.
Unless you are a reddit troll, there's no reason to be rude about it.

At this point, it's best to complain about anything regarding BG3, I suppose.
Anyway, feel free to continue unbothered or whatever. I'm outta here. I wish you happy, rudeless afternoon and the rest of your lives.
