Why is this ****** getting mentally buck broken over the best RPG in 20 years and the true and honest GOTY for 2023?
The Witcher 3 wasn't a RPG btw

Now that I think about it the gay stuff wasn't that bad in all honesty The ***** inclusive stuff was fine too, since it's mostly optional. I can put up with a bit of progressive content if it means we finally get good stories like BG3 again.

This is the reality of trying to enjoy any post-2010 western media, not only games.

Well we need to know what's the "death threat" especifically. If it's that silly karlach beheading screenshot @ANONYMOUS_FRI3ND has done a few months ago to own the ******, it's one thing. Now if it's PMing Larian employees "we know your address and where you work, beware now", it's another completely different.

Because Steam is pozzed. They're lax compared to real dumpster fires like Nexus, but they're still not a place that lets you say and do what you please.

That said, anyone who is pro-Halsin is 100% a sexual deviant, since he is a gay sex-pest with a deformed face. He has zero objective attractive characteristics besides using the Male Strong Body (interesting how he is one of the only that does, Minsc and the Cambions do too, but besides that...?) The fact he turns into a bear to sexually assault you is indication that anyone who is pro-Halsin is a degenerate whose opinion is equivalent to nothing.

Not really tbh, maybe 1 or 2 trooned out modders getting mad over us improving their mods and asking for takedown, and getting smacked in the process

Actually, it was, albeit one with former rules and regulations than other RPGs. See it like this:

In a tabletop RPG, it's the GM/DM that decides what can and can't be done, so the sky is the limit. If the group want their paladin and wizard to go on a space trip with The Enterprise, sure, no problem - that's up to the GM to decide if its possible.

Below that, you have computer RPGs, which are by the fact that they are programmed, limited to what the program says - if it's a fantasy game, you won't find any spaceships. These CRPGs also sets a framework - in some, the framework is less hard and you can play whatever you want within the limits and the world (fighter/wizard/rogue in open world games like Skyrim being common). Then with more regulations, you have games like Baldur's gate - you have a wider range of archetypes or classes you can play, but the world is limited - there are walls you can't climb or break down so to speak. And further down, with even more set rules and regulations, you have games where you are given a role with little to nothing to say about it (The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, The Witcher, Kingdom Come: Deliverance et al).

And all of them are indeed RPGs; the difference being in the roles available.

And Keanu Reeves is not John Wick - it was a ROLE. He. Played.

But feel free to elaborate - in what way isn't the witcher RPGs?

He was supposed to be recruitable in Act 1, and he IS one of the Original Baldurs gate characters yet bg3 made him less important.

Then why did they need to have him ingame then? Sounds a bit odd, right? BG3 could have been a bit diffrent without the Saverok, Jaheria, minsc, viconia thing.

Anyway i dont give a **** about this game anymore, id rather play Dragon age orgins, the prologue got more story than act 1 or act 2-3.

Probably to appease conservatards like you who would whine they couldn't play as some lame character from the 90s instead of the fully fleshed out RPG game characters. Larian learned from their mistakes with the original games but some people fail to learn.
