Seeing a brick shithouse nigress has me incredibly concerned for what else is lurking in this shitpile. Also what dialogue we caught is very millenial-esque, not good. Owlcat genuinely believes including a single aryan woman is going to lure in chuds.
Shadowheart demonstrates this is a perfectly viable strategy.

You get upset about *******, ****** and arabs in The Expanse? The books literally have humans that are the DEI wet dreams. Naomi Nagata is literally a ****** woman with south american, asian and black features. Alex Kamal is the pilot of the Rocinante and is a **** with a texan accent. Atleast the ugly ******* are the bad guys here. One of the most influential and powerful politician on earth is a woman named Chrisjen Avasarala and is indian. There is a ***** named Jules-Pierre Mao.
Thanks, fren.

For keeping me from ever being interested in and spending money on this at all

Yeah, I don't get why people are surprised at this diverse hellscape when the original book series and the tv show are also like that. Just because the game has a couple of white people doesn't mean that everyone looks like that. It is the same old sci-fi ******** of "In the distant future humans are all a brownslop mix"

Even if one does not know anything about this franchise, as is my case, we know Owlcat is pozzed to hell and back. Surprise should only come from knowing about neither The Expanse nor Owlcat, in which case it seems this game has gathered more eyes around it than I expected.

It was cringe from the start, don't expect science fiction released in the 21st century to be anything less than extreme left-wing agitprop

Viable when people, especially the chuds you'd be targeting, forget about the bait and switch. It's too soon after BG3, only the most goonbrained zogs wouldn't see what is being dangled in front of them. Also terrible marketing strategy in general. Do not flash a hot white girl and then upstage her with an ugly ******. That's why they put her in the middle, as a kind of palatte cleanser and to make you downplay the earlier offending article. A token of "please forgive us, we know what you want".

Same devs wrote this character:
played WotR, never ******* encountered that "important" *** dialogue and always (naively) assumed there was just an unspoken tragic story of a dude with some incurable disease/condition and got not much time left, then his wife sells a sword to get him a potion to prolong his existence, then Fifth Crusade hits and everything goes to hell... up until "Wokeless Wrath"'s summary explained me the entire **** :groan:

i place my bet they'll make all whites on the poster ******* and/or make the rest as minor NPCs or ****** unimportant quest givers. the blonde will 100% be dating a ****** or will mention in the very first dialogue she's into BBC or will say the ultimate reddit phrase how all people are beautiful (or **** like that).
Considering all of the BELTALOWDA mystery meat talmudic golems that were bouncing around in the television series, I 100% fully expect this.
The what? I've watched it, didn't notice anything like that

The thing about sci-fi settings these days is that more often than not they all feel "samey" and stuff.

As in, you could take a screenshot of a random modern sci-fi setting and it could easily be mistaken for another, just like Dwayne Johnson's jungle flicks.

You might have already seen it mentioned online, but it is my great honor to officially announce I am the voice of Regina Marek in The Expanse: Osiris Reborn (@TheExpanseRPG), an upcoming third-person action RPG set in The Expanse universe! 🌌✨

Huge thanks to @OwlcatGames, Alcon and 3Beep for trusting me with this amazing role for such an iconic IP. I’m ecstatic to continue bringing her to life with you all! 💖

Want to know more about the companion Regina? Here’s some more intel! 💎

REGINA MAREK
ORIGIN: EARTHER
SHIP POST: LIAISON OFFICER
CREW FUNCTION: A SNIPER AND A SCOUT

Regina wears light armor and uses a combat scanner to mark targets. She takes out enemies at long range with her sniper rifle, dealing massive damage.

Regina loves to tell stories from her past, but nobody knows how truthful they really are. She never answers questions directly, forever using humor and veiled commentary that keeps you wondering. All you know is that Regina was born on Earth, received a superb education, and became one of the best corporate spies in the system.

Regina sees you as a valuable ally in a vital op that she can’t possibly hope to see through using her connections and charm alone. Her cool professional demeanor may crack at times, and that’s when you know: this is personal.

Whatever it is — a vendetta, an echo of a past, or something else entirely — you won’t get any answers from this experienced harlequin. At least, not at first.

Unfortunately It works. The masses yearn for celebrities, in the absence of proper role models to look up to. Sad but true!

IMO the only deciding factor on this game being good or not is how much owlcat will let u side with Mars but they seem to be going for a mixed hodgepodge party so idk. Pirate on launch and maybe buy it in a year after its been patched and polished.

If only there were people who worked on parts of the game that aren't just uploaded as mp3 files at the end.

Jonathan Jacques-BelletΓͺte (art director for the yellow triangle Deus Ex) was a far more interesting candidate for a "game celeb" than any voice actor.

Harvey Smith and David Gaider similar story.

Wait, the voice actor celebs usually have something in common that is different than the 3 people I just remembered. :scratch-pipe:

I wonder how they managed such an inorganic publicity move with her. I did find it odd when ME2 came out and people were slobbering over that voice actress. First time I'd seen the behavior, like okay she's good? Yeah? Despite knowing other voice actresses much more deserving of the attention, people were still disproportionately raving about Jennifer Hale. 'Twas odd, odd indeed.

Finished watching beta stream... Just brief "impressions"

If it's a Mass Effect, it'd be Andromeda.
Twin sister's voice acting is especially atrocious. Some dialogue just looks out of place - it's that random. Example - vendor NPC, even the streamer got confused, where did that come from.
Dude paid 7k (~90usd) to beta-test these 30 minutes :toot:
