So this makes me wonder: was Aylin originally written as a man by Larian?
On one of the earlier pages on this mod I dropped a lore page with a short poem about Nightsong, who was referred to as "A Son of Selune".
It's a lore piece that you could find in game all the way up to patch 4 (possibly on patch 6 as well, but I finished game on older version). and it was never "fixed" out of the game.
So, I'm inclined to think it was a male character in the beginning before eventually scrapping him for caps cardboard cutout ****.
[edit: dropped the supporting picture here again]

The early version of Nightsong was a weird looking lady in a very skimpy dress. The models are ingame, and the character was datamined for a mod during early access, so it must have been changed late in development.

I apologize if my responses were not relevant to your needs. As an AI language model, I do not have personal beliefs or opinions, and I only provide responses based on the information provided to me.

To me, it kind of looks like they had no differentiation between Nightsong and Shar.
And there were still a male portrait and a male model for Nightsong / Aylin (iirc Orin talked about it too).
Soooo, no clue what was first, what was scrapped. But clearly the remnants of idea about Nightsong being a guy were still there.

Either it's WOTSC's stipulations or Sweet Baby consultation. It doesn't feel like Larian at all to me.
WotC and Hasbro are particularly aggressive on this front. Still, I find it hard to believe Larian itself hasn't heavily infiltrated by activist devs over the past five years (if it's bad in Europe as it is in the US/Canada, and I've no reason to suspect it isn't). It's everywhere in games now.
Did Sweet Baby actually work on BG3, or are you just alluding to that style of creative-subversive activism in general?
It's a suspicion, considering the entire game seems to be gendered under the bonnet and every ***** appears at end of act 2 and onwards. They came in and made it lame and gay.
My theory is that it is Sweet Baby Inc but through the Wizard of the Coast. Wizard of the Coast literally in the list of Sweet Baby Inc clients and Wizard of the Coast owners of a licence for bg3. Plus 30% of Larian studios belong to Netflix. Plus if you try to look their "Panels from hell" that they did during advertising, you can see who made the game. If Netflix or Wizard of the Coast push identity politics, modern Larian at the very least didn’t resist, at the most they shouted “More!”.

I also thought that but Larian seems pretty serious on the trooning. And I think they got real cash from the alphabets adopting BG3 as "the lgbtqia+-friendly game", while the normal crowd also bought the game bacause of lack of better things in the market (and not knowing how alphabetized the game was). We'll be sure on their next game.
I played the game from the start from early access to release and can tell you they changed up a lot of things. Astarion for example wasn't written as explicitly gay, just a little "flamboyant" (which you could argue a lot of nobles were) but was very much written for women imo. There's a stark contrast to how he behaves in Act 1 to Act 3. Like I can't even find him attractive anymore as a female, he seems too gay now. But he was the gayest thing about the game during Act 1 EA and all the guys on the BG3 sub hated him. Before release, everyone seemed to love him. Red flag.
There weren't any ***** or gay characters from what I could tell and not as much weird race swapping in EA. As soon as the game started to get popular and attract more abc's, that's when they started incorporating more of it during updates and to a ridiculous degree. I was so excited for this game and religiously checked for updates and now I haven't checked it/played since release. To me, they ruined it beyond repair. There's just so much modders will have to fix but I'll be keeping tabs on their efforts.

This mod already fixed it for me...Honestly can't remember anything woke triggering which i have encountered while playing. The only thing i remember is Lakrissa and Alfira lesbo relationship but it was done so ****** by Larian that they have like two lines without any animations (Alfira doesn't even acknowledge you in Act 3 lol) and the other is ***** character in the circus (also removed in the latest mod version) which i didnt mind at all if anything it was hilarious especially considering that Larian itself basically mocked alphabet folk by placing ***** character in the circus
There is even a mod available that removes gay relationships with companions. Personally, I haven't used it myself cause it was funny cockblocking male companions and it would be even funnier if there was a mod which adds lines like "Wyll, I am not a ******, I am not going to dance with you"
Honestly, if it wasn't for this site, I would have been forced not to play this game. But, no faggotry, David Attenborough narrating, it's awesome. Once they fix the voice mods, I'll have a female Astarion, too. It should have been this way from the start. I regret giving them money. You'd think after Spider-man, I'd have learned never to buy a game until I know more about the woke factor.
