From the developer that censored a killer for being able to merely wear the face of a black victim

Max Thompson Jr. or "The Hillbilly"
Wonder if they'd name a character "The ******"

True. 80s action mullets are rad.

It's got the most low-key cash shop I've ever seen.

If you buy the special edition, you get cosmetic armor and a title, and one okay gun that you won't miss if you don't have it.
The only other item is supercredits, the only use for which is buying "warbonds" which are equipment lists. Them being sold is trivial and just a timesaver.
You can farm supercredits easily enough in-game, and you can't actually buy anything without medals, which you can ONLY get by playing the game and succeeding in missions.
It's almost the opposite of Diablo Immortal.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

It's better than Invisible War.
Really, it's okay. The story is a bit stupid but the environments can be pretty cool and the gameplay is decent.
It's really not Deus Ex, though. The Queebs that made it and Human Revolution are not particularly good or inventive storytellers.

I miss when developers were constantly trying to show off what their engine could do, especially when it came to physics. Average early 00s game let you interact with anything.
Now you're lucky if a game has anything beyond basic physics let alone doors you can blow up.

Can't tell if it's incompetence or because the people making games are just storyfags who never experimented and therefore never noticed all the cool things you could do in older games.
It got me thinking about the game Rage, where the regular world items seemed fused or melted to the environment thanks to its new fancy mega-texture. Most games modern games at least fake it, making you believe that the items are actual objects in the world, but that was not the case in Rage. Glad that didn't take off, it would be even more immersion-breaking.

But yeah, more physics stuff would be cool.

I agree with Rand here.

Helldivers 2 monetization is really minor. They regularly release content packs in the form of warbonds that add new weapons, armors and other equipment, which you can purchase with currency you can find while on missions, and then unlock said equipment with medals you earn by completing missions.

On top of that, each warbond also gives enough currency to get halfway to the required amount to unlock the next warbond.

It's not about pozz but general aimlessness of big budget American games and lack of artistry, mostly due to the fact that video games in America are a group effort unless you're the designated approved Jew in charge - and if you're a joo, you're not gonna deviate much from globohomo values so not even jew lead projects will have any distinct soul to them.

Like which?
Publishers rarely even do AAA games anymore, almost all AA gamepass slop because they're far lower risk. They haven't turned out any better, by the way.
The "AAA sucks!!!" crowd was proven wrong and they just pretended it didn't happen. Lower budget games made with the same people still suck, because the developers suck.

Also the difference in culture and general attitude towards things. At least when the japanese make games, they do so with the desire to create a genuine piece of entertainment and art, with good aesthetics and music. When Americans make games, they tend to do so from a very consumerist, fast food perspective. It's why so many western games featured licensed music, cheesy mascot characters, and games made to extract as much playtime as possible.

Well, precisely because American video game culture is intrinsically against having leaders with a definite vision. Todd Howard doesn't even care anymore (or doesn't have the power anymore) and no one can take seriously his claim that Starfield is 'his' game. There isn't a Yoko Taro or a Hideo Kojima in America. Even the Daniel Vavras of Europe have more input that the average American lead dev today. The only American dev today who can still steer games to his liking is Ken Levine, and he's just another subversive jew who only makes games as a political vehicle.

There's Sawyer too but if he wants to make a personal game today it needs to be a super small project like Pentiment. Anything bigger than that will be hit by the curse of aimlessness because you can't have authoritarian creative types anymore.

I can't comment on Alyx, but CSGO (2012) isn't an author's game.
