This is definitely a situation where the suites up top are ****** about how much time/money is being sunk into this and tossed it to a shell of a developer who hell or highwater will force it out the door at a deadline given. Not that this will absolve the devs whenever it ends up being a massive pile of caca, great games have been made under similar ****** conditions it's just back then people got jobs based on their ability to perform and not ESG/giving handies.

Even if this launches as a **** game (it will)

It was worth seeing (another) soylent game dev company of diversity hires and handlebar moustaches go down the shitter.

While the first game was inspired by goth music and related things, this game appears to have been inspired by Twilight and other young adult vampire books and movies.
