As laid out by our methodology, the "informational" label is mainly applied to games that contain optional/subtle LGBTQ+ content. A game that features a lesbian relationship (especially one involving the player character), particularly where romantic interactions are explicitly shown, is considered overtly pro-LGBTQ+ and is deserving of the "not recommended" label.
Fair enough. At least Analogue got what it deserved.
Let's see if I can remember a few more:
I'd classify it as "Not recommended" - initially the game doesn't seem so bad, it has a good atmosphere, there's a mystery that needs to be uncovered, the mechanics are fun and the setting is somewhat underused, but then the cracks begin to appear. Turns out all the bad things that happened to everyone in the story were the fault of the European settlers, and the injuns were gud bois that dindu nuffin.
EDIT: Didn't see it was delisted. The game is Betrayer, apparently it's still available for purchase on GOG.
How exactly is this piece of shit labeled as not having woke content? It's so blatantly in your face about it I can only assume whoever rated it that way has brain damage. The game is all about portraying 19th century US as evil, bigoted and racist (just like the original BioShock was a Jew whining that the gentiles destroy the Jewish utopia).
I don't remember anything overtly woke, but the protagonist is revealed to be a woman, which makes no sense for the historical period the game is set in.
Not sure what to make of this, and all the other games by this team. On the one hand, all games have a strong anti-corporations narrative, to the point the evil corporation is villainous it morphs into unintentional comedy at times. On the other hand, the game doesn't really feature any leftist "workers unite" bullshit, and given what we've seen corporations do in the past 20 years alone, Cayne's track record doesn't really appear that outlandish.
Not woke, surprisingly enough. Also, quite likely, the last time Jane Jensen made an interesting adventure game, before the fujoshi brainrot consumed her whole. Even though the protagonist is female, there's none of the usual bullshit, no ranting about the patriarchy, men aren't portrayed as evil. Just a neat mystery story. Last 1/4 of the game is just bullshit padding though.
