I absolutely love BG3's Patch 8 and 7

Post by AliciaDurge »

Okay when Patch 7 came out, I had to play the Evil Durge run, and it was so, so ******* worth it (btw I played with a modded subclass called Necromancer Warlock - The Dread Overlord which added to the flavor of the game and I absolutely recommend it, expecially when combined with the level 20 mod). I enjoyed Resist Urge/good playthrough too a lot, but dunno something about having the experience of being unapologetically evil Durge made the game's experience better now since I've played on both sides. I also did a morally grey Durge Honor run, iirc. on Patch 6 or 7, which was enjoyable too.

And then the Patch 8 came out, ofc I had to start a new playthrough lol. Now doing my 2nd run, this time only with cosmetic mods (on my first run I used only few mods to tweak the gameplay but not something super game changing) - I'm in Act 2 and running strong as a Bard. I've also tested some of the new subclasses and like them a lot.

Do you like the new updates?

I last played BG3 at release, I'll probably do another playthru someday but it's a rather long game. I was hoping it would get a "director's cut" re-release like their prior games but it seems that isn't going to happen.

I was just waiting for all the patches to be finished, then for the based mods to catch up. Is it time?

Wait a bit longer. Realms Restored v3 and De-Girlboss are almost done

I hate this game, I tried it when it got released and it's one of the most woke trash I've ever played. I don't even know if all the mods here can salvage it because all of the writing in the game must be corrupted to the core by the ******** leftists who made it.

It is deceptive too - it's woke, incredibly so - but it goes into overdrive in Act 2 onwards. So it purposely tricks people at the start.

It was way less libtarded in early access. You can deny it all you want, but they had to let go of their second biggest studio(Larian St. Petersburg) and rapidly hire new employees. The story was even completely rewritten by some foidgooner they hired after early access started.

I like the druid of the stars subclass but it's bugged, followers in starry form disappear from cutscenes. I mad ea report a long time ago but they didn't fix it and I had to finish the game with my wife Shadowheart invisible.

Act 1 was already way too woke, I stopped playing at the end of it, I prefer to not even imagine the horror and complete mentally ill writing that is the rest of the game.

They could relocate the studio or wait until russian libtards from St. Petersburg studio run from Russia, witch is exactly what happened later that year. They had a choice and chose to work with ****** *******.

Goblins are one of the few non-woke things left in the game. They are ******* unapologetic pieces of **** with zero honour, empathy, dignity, or loyalty, each and every one. Including the one you have the option of saving multiple times (and she rewards you by trying to sell you out to save her own skin), and including the one who didn't join the Cult of the Absolute and remained faithful to their old god (of blood and murder).

I would bet money that at least one of the Anglo femgooners wanted to include an 'ackshually, goblins are just oppressed babies who dindu nuffin' lecture NPC somewhere but didn't get to for whatever reason.

Eh, I still dislike evil Durge writing, I think it's pretty horrible. It's written with a moralizing intent to prove that evil deeds lead to some ******** karmic punishment or whatever is the belief. It's like they've read whatales for a good evil character story and all they got was gorey visuals and gross out factor. It's rather tasteless, and you more or less get punished with a couple options of awful endings.

Most of the stuff in the post release patches was not asked for or wanted tbh. More gay ****, more gooner content, kind of pointless epilogue. New subclasses I guess were ok, but remember - it's the ****** 5th edition so who the **** cares.

Overall, the game was just a disappointment. It takes away from a franchise, and makes it less. It's made by people who have played the BG1 and BG2, and their brilliant conclusion was that Baldur's Gate series is about the city of Baldur's Gate. Right, probably the same people who would say that Moby **** is a book about whales, or Sherlock Holmes is a series about smoking.

Honestly the only reason I still play BG3 is the mods hosted here, and co-op feature. So big thanks to the folks working on them here. I guess in my eyes it's basically "friend slop" game genre, just with RPG flavor.

Original BG1 and 2 are pretty much entirely different games with little in common.

This. I pirated it on launch due to everyone I know hyping it up so much I figured I'd at least try it out. I was already mentally checked out already when I saw you could make a they/them with an uncircumcised **** and tits in the character creator, and nothing I saw in act 1 changed my mind. I enjoyed the combat but I just can't look past all of the faggotry. Even with mods "fixing" it I'd rather just stick to weebkino

More games need a plumber subclass.
