It was hinted at, but apparently you missed the subtlety. Many of the games, movies, etc... you think are not woke, actually are. They were just tolerated for various reasons (ie the game might have been good, the woke content was subtle or sparse, etc...).

If you really are honest, you can go back through decades of content and see the ***, *****, feminist, racial, and various other specific political topic narratives of the time being pushed. The more you look, the more that will pop up. They have been doing this for a very very long time, it is only noticed by normal people because the people doing it are sub intellects as well as overloading with it.

This is one of those things where the more you learn about it, the more you see it.

It will taint your past experiences once you start seeing it, but the reality is that it has been present in various ways far longer that most realized it.
