If you would want to get into the hobby of painting miniatures but don't want to give a single penny to GW, I imagine that there are ways to obtain miniatures that were 3D printed by 3rd parties.

If there aren't already, with how much negative backlash GW is currently getting, I hope that some start popping up soon enough.

Etsy has a wide range last I checked. I bought my NOT-Space Marines from there. 30 of them for about 100 bucks, very high quality and sturdy.

They don't have to be not Space Marines, really. Turns out GW couldn't manage to trademark "Space Marine". That's why they gave them another name, that I can't recall.

Playing Space Marine 2 has totally got me into this universe again.

I think this is the only Western franchise that I'm still interested in today. Most of our beloved franchises are dead, and yeah, they've been trying to take this one down too (female custodes wtf), but man, just shouting "FOR THE EMPEROR!" with other players as we destroy the xenos and the heretic is so awesome.
