That's something reddit ran with. He took the form of a woman, being a deity, and is referred to as a man throughout the game.
Didn't he also get his head lopped off and used as a fleshlight by molag bal or something?
Kirkbride should stay away from drugs.
I'd have to dig back into the lore. I highly enjoyed Morrowind, and especially with today's mods. Janky, slave owning goodness.

Come on, Morrowind was before the political nature of the gender bender bs. It was from a pure creative expression, not political pandering.
Vivec was also a *****.

{current_year} politics has basically ruined the ability to approach any of these subjects.

If we played BG1 today and found a belt of gender change.. or Edwin becoming Edwina - would we all REEEE about the horrors of troonpolitics invading our game?

The thing is, the entire ideological religion of the alphabet mob didn't have form or mainstream traction back when these games were released. Likely, the creators weren't thinking anything about political posturing or "inclusion". Sure, there was progressive trends running amuck, but the gender dysphoric fever dream wasn't a thing, if not for only a few small outliers outside of the gaming industry. So examples like this don't trigger these alarms because developers weren't trying to affirm anything back then. It was just a part of their creative process.

I'd be surprised if anyone plays Soyfield for that long. It lacks any of the aesthetic charm of Elder Scrolls, it's just globohomo, UN-sanctioned, ESG-approved, NASA-funded, Science Fiction.

What's amazing is how **** professional developers can make a UI with 5 years of painstaking effort built on two decades of experience.

Someone in IRC commented that the bigger UI probably exists for consoles, and... yeah, probably I guess.
They should have at least made a separate UI for PCs based off of the single most popular skyrim mod that exists, though.

They could've killed two birds with one stone by adding a UI scaling slider - PC gamers get a somewhat tolerable UI, and gamejournos get the opportunity to praise Bethesda for muh accessibility options.

Imitating Michael Land seems like a good idea!

That clip reminds me of how much I hate that game, it encapsulates perfectly the decline and inevitable end of LucasArts.

possibly a "PSA" moment:

<aweigh0101> rusty_shackleford just found something interesting, turns out RTSS was messing with my Starfield framerate.
<aweigh0101> with rtss 60fps lock I get drops from 60 -> 58, 57, down to as much as 54fps when walking around a specific spot. When I turn OFF the RTSS fps lock I get steady and smooth 60fps with no drops in the same area.
<aweigh0101> this is not the first time i've found rtss to affect frame rate, the last time was with yuzu emulator. i didn't think it might also interfere with native PC games as well, but apparently it does.
<aweigh0101> i've tested and retested the same walk-around spot and without a doubt, with RTSS fps cap off it maintains a perfect 60fps, with it on I get drops.

Note that I'm still using game vsync, so it is still capped to my monitor refresh rate, just without RTSS now.

Also, i'm referring to turning off the fps cap feature only, I'm still using RTSS to monitor stats.

obviously because Todd deeply cares about games Bethesda is making, and the only reason they suck in certain places is because some of Todd's teammates are misguided :smug:

Nothing can be done about the inability to jump to a planet, fly through it's atmosphere, land at spot that looks good, build a base to be your checkpoint, and seemlessly fly away again, but at least it looks like moonbuggies will be a dlc.

"everything in this game is behind a perk"
oh no, an RPG has skills and character building, how awful.
mack is not sharpest tool in the box. and not demanding at that. and even he knows this is pile of trash.
People who don't like Starfield hate RPGs, simple as.
this is most cope and turned upside down bs since i last seen western media report about jewkrainian front.

beth had not made proper rpg since morrowind but thats not the problem
game is empty, meaningless, non immersive trash with writing worse than oblivion and graphics worse than some games from 2009.
and its woke and gay ofc.
wouldnt expect nothing more from vagina populated studio.

if some1 had told me 5 years ago i will one day appreciate no mans sky planet generation and fallout 4 gameplay and quests i would have laugh.
who is laughing now?
