Stealth doesn't seem to be nearly as effective in Starfield as it was in some other Bethesda games.
I'll admit.. I didn't read your post.. you hate white spacing and I have the attention span of a small rodent.

I'll just respond to this first sentence out of context and say that there's a consumable that basically turns you into a ninja on crack which you can abuse the **** out of. I've found stealth pretty A-Okay. It feels about the same as every Bethesda game since Skyrim.

Good stealth would be sneaking up on a bad guy and nicking his spacesuit.

If blacks and pronouns are no big deal then why do people keep losing their **** over players modding them out of their single player games that don't affect anyone else?

Might as well ask why ****** require a five-step customization process in games (pronoun, body type, voice, walk animation) to achieve what was done with a simple male/female toggle in previous years, especially when their most fervent wish is to pass as the gender they truly are.

I mean, if you're an MtF *****, wouldn't your ultimate escapist fantasy be to play as a woman? And not just to play as one, but to be so indistinguishable from a real foid that no NPC in the game would be able to see through the ruse? Why don't they simply create a female character, why do they need to advertise their ***** status to NPCs in the game?

Could it be that, perhaps, trooning is actually a degenerate fetish, that these freaks get a chubby at the idea of dressing up in female clothes and parading around town?

It's not immersive if you can click one button to turn yourself into a woman. The process has to be difficult (impossible) just like in real life.

It's about power and privilege. Being simply a normal woman doesn't confer the same status as being a ***** endorsed by the clown world administration. As a ***** you can demand, and demand, and keep demanding, companies will prostrate themselves in front of you anyway.

Haven't played it yet. Busy.

Video reviews are much too long without saying much of substance, hmm.

In summary, is it good?

1. Y

2. N.

Basically, what I'm understanding is that quests are better than last three games (though not better than Morrowind), but exploration is no longer a thing.

- The game is OK. It's a 5/10 game for me.

- The gameplay loop is basic, and gets old pretty fast. Tons of systems/planets/moons to explore, but it gets same-y after exploring a few systems, and exploration fatigue sets in.

- The combat is basic, and smoothbrain tactics like rushing in guns blazing is actually the most effective strategy.

- Quests/story, I'd say do the faction questlines, and finish the main story, and that's the game right there.

- There's tons of sidequests that add nothing to the story or game, and the game distracts you with tons of these sorts of quests. And that leads to: quest fatigue, tons of pointless unrewarding sidequests lead to a lack of desire to participate in them at all.

- Smorgasbord of skills to invest points in, most are not worth the investment. Infinite level cap, so you can max them all out at some point I guess.

- Would I pay $70 for this game? Not a chance.

Starfield does run better than Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Fallout 4 did at launch. The overall frame rates are lower than I'd like them to be in a few locations, but I'm not experiencing any weird frame timing issues, or stuttering, and also no crashes.

I've ran into a few bugs, and it's annoying when it happens, but I ran into a bug that locked me out of my inventory a couple of times, and quicksave/reload fixed it. A similar type of bug that locked me out of fast traveling to my ship that quicksave/reload fixed. I've seen space roaches and fauna and shrubs floating around in the air in places. Seems like an error with their procgen.

The DLSS & Frame gen mod - I was never able to get it working. I moved the correct files into the correct places, booted up the game, and it crashes on the first load screen. Clearly, additional instructions or requirements are needed that the mod author did not mention.

The mod to replace ******* works just fine.

Just ran into another bug where the door going to the lodge in New Atlantis didn't work. Quicksave/reload didn't fix it, I had to reboot the game.

never encountered any bugs like this
the only thing close to a 'game stopping' bug I had is I frequently crash when going to mars. I have to adjust time forward a bit and try again, I assume the weather there is crashing me or something.

No crashes here that weren't tied directly to a mod.

Mod support seems sketchy at best at the moment, I don't know if you're using any mods or not, but it could certainly cause a crash in certain locations. The mod to remove ******* could be causing something like the lodge door to not work on occasion, I have no way of really knowing for sure.
