Finished MotB and I couldn't get the devourer ending. The option to devour the faceless man simply didn't show up, despite me eating myrkul. I guess NWN 2 will forever be a broken piece of **** and no cashgrab by Aspyr or anyone else will solve that.

The last time I played MotB I reported a bunch of bugs to the community patch(not that specific issue tho), the game is very buggy.

Worked on my machine. Did you complete the mask? That's a necessary part.

Yes, I did. Selecting the Mask option railroads me into the "good" ending for the spirit-eater curse. No option to eat the faceless man.

Hm, did you devour the founder? That was also important. You have to always be devouring, unlocking devour soul/spirit gorge/ravenous incarnation.

This information is literally nowhere online. No, I didn't because my character hits so insanely hard I one-shotted her.

OH ******* **** ****! You need to eat One-of-Many BEFORE meeting the founder OR devour Myrkul directly. It's ridiculous that the path is so narrow and yet for all the countless guides and wikias online NOBODY bothered to document it. I got the Devourer ending only ONCE back in the day and now failed to reproduce it.

EDIT: WRONG AGAIN! I tested it with devouring One-of-Many before speaking to the founder and it didn't work. So Myrkul must be eaten without extra steps. Either that or this **** is indeed bugged.

EDIT 2: that means it's not possible to get the Amulet of Betrayal Personified AND the Devourer ending on the same run, which is beyond stupid.

Here's the summary of the fate of each companion + screenshots to back it up.

Casavir: confirmed to be dead by Amon Jerro. He sacrificed himself holding a passage open so others could escape, dying in true Paladin fashion
No, Casavir lives. He broke his back :old2: but didn't die, was just left for death. We can learn that in SoZ by talking to a dude called Rynn in Port Llast, he tells us the paladin considered by Neverwinter a hero who was left in the ruins of Merdelain is now in Luskan prison answering for participating in the murder of their ambassador Sydney Natale in the OC. ;)

Sure you can. Use Okku's essance. You just use up his husk to make One of Many.

So did they actually list any new/improved features beyond controller support and steam workshop?

There is a GoNintendo interview and the details are:

Controller support, focus on making the game more accessible and responsive for gamepad users without compromising the original experience. The Classic UI was preserved and also the control scheme if people prefer the traditional setup.

@Finarfin You should probably know they made this on top of the release version of the game, so there are plenty of bugs. Save often to not lose progress.

The amount of bugs and the idiocy of AI (which were both fixed in patches) would suggest just that.

How would that even be possible, since it includes SoZ it should surely be patched up to the release version of SoZ.

The databases for races classes spells etc. might come from the newest expansion but the scripts inside the original campaign and general scripts used by the game (non specific to any campaign) might be from the time before that.

I mean, I am basing that from watching lets plays on youtube and I recognize these frustrating bugs from years ago when I played myself. Early versions of the game were not well put together :broken:

Because, in case it wasn't obvious, I love Neverwinter Nights 2. Unironically. Despite the game being a broken piece of ****, of all the cRPGs ever released this one would probably benefit the most from a remaster of sorts. And then I heard we got the same hacks who scammed the Battlefront community. I follow the news closely and there is NOTHING about what was supposedly "enhanced" about the game. Worse, all promo material points to a game that is 99% unchanged. And boy, I WISH they were just reselling the game, because:

******* lmao. They rolled back like 2 years of patching by Oshitian and another decade + by the community. So this version is objectively worse than what was already available on GoG. Steam reviews are already "mixed", hope they get to negative soon. All positive reviews are made by monkeys who are reviewing a game without even finishing the tutorial. Truly, gamers deserve nothing if all it takes is a fresh coat of paint for ******* to go "OMG, 10/10 GOTY!!!".

It's oldspeak, they didn't change a thing from the original release. D&D defaulted to female pronouns with 3.5. "Wokeness didn't start yesterday" as Tim Cain puts it, the simpery's been there for decades.

Edit: My mistake. It depends on the gender of the iconic character. Vaguely remembered this, but forgot that particular detail.
The D&D 3e core rulebooks vary between the male and female pronoun when referring to players and characters. When referring to characters of one of the core classes, the pronoun is chosen based on the iconic sample character. The barbarian, bard, cleric, fighter, ranger, and sorcerer are usually referred to using male pronouns, while the druid, monk, paladin, rogue and wizard are referred to using female pronouns.

It's grammatically incorrect ********.

Also, I sincerely doubt the change of pronouns was Gygax's doing.

Of course it wasn't. He was gone after 1st edition. In 2nd edition they stood their ground.
"The male pronoun (he, him, his) is used exclusively throughout the second edition of the AD&D game rules. We hope this won't be construed by anyone to be an attempt to exclude females from the game or imply their exclusion. Centuries of use have neutered the male pronoun. In written material it is clear, concise, and familiar. Nothing else is."
In 3rd edition, they abandoned it and also got rid of the strength limits on women. Thank you, Monte ****, Jonathan Tweet, and Skip Williams.

It's 60% camera management.

EDIT: Take a ranger/rogue multiclass character. The tutorials will explain which skills matter on the world map.
