Someone on Steam was able to datamine the game and found a whole bunch of content that was cut from the game: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1086940/ ... 885064204/
As you can see much of the content that was cut was for Act 3. **** shame that a lot of this content was cut. Especially the Upper City, Hag Coven in Act 2 and 3, Epilogues, and Tadpole's and Consequences. Other content that interest me that was cut was Karlach Good Ending where you would be able to fix her heart but was cut as it was tied to the Upper City and getting Cazador as a potential ally in the fight against the Absolute. Here is hoping that Larian will restore much of the cut content in a Definitive Edition that we all know will come down the line in the next year or so.
Wonder how much of this is due to Larian losing their #2 studio mid-development

That's ALL it is. There's nothing tasteful, romantic, or meaningful about it.
I wasn't aware that pornography was ever any of the above.

I took a break a few days, because I reached a certain Lord G, and I explored his palace instead of heading right into his throne room. When I entered the throne room, I did so from right behind him, but because "muh cutscene" Swen placed me right in the middle of the room, instead of respecting my strategic thinking.

I like that the cutscenes still respect where you character was prior to them when it ends rather than placing you where they want you to be.

1 week and all he managed to do was about 20% of the first area then made a video on it that says nothing.

Reminder, I had it beaten 10 days after release and it's not my ******* job to play video games:

I don't know why his editor insisted on him covering it. He only has 1 week to play a game. And his editor must've known the game is way bigger than that. And they also didn't give him 2 weeks to beat it, either.

I know why: Viewers have been hungry for BG3 content since launch, and, seeing other major reviewers getting their videos out, ZP's editor is catching a case of FOMO. So, he orders a week to play the game, write the script, and edit the video.

We don't care how "big" or "vast" the game is, the editor thinks to himself. The best time to get a review out was two weeks ago. The next best time is now. We're leaving those precious YouTube ad impressions on the table!

You play unusually fast though. And he probably knows much less about RPGs than HQ users.

You can use this to your advantage too.. like when you stamped yourself into an enemies face but then the cutscene puts you 20 feet back on high ground.
I abused this a few times, although throne room might be hardcoded differently.

I have played very little but I think it is fun.

I cannot wait to get around to really playing it proper, even if it will take a few months!

Agreed, not his best work. Yahtz is a non-crpg player and with only one week to play the game and make the video, he maybe played for 4 days tops and it shows. I took absolutely nothing away from this supposed review other than that he's in a gay DnD show with a guy with a balding mohawk and a DM who is definitely into assplay.

Patch #1 released
https://steamcommunity.com/games/108694 ... 4085723480
The most popular class choice is currently Paladin, followed by Sorcerer
Curious if the reason people are doing this is due to how easymode CHA makes any prior non-combat simulator D&D CRPG.

I have been able to skip or auto win many battles thanks to having maxed charisma. The most epic one being the fight against a certain undead in act 2 that you can talk into suicide.

Theres also the fact that paladin is one of the easiest classes to multiclass. A 2 level dip gets you so much.

Plus I have noticed the idea of oaths and tenets have made the class much more interesting. I truly think that 5e paladins are the best thing to come out of that edition, it expanded the class so much while giving every single variation its own personality. Oaths are not just diffently flavoured paladins, entire experience changes with every oath.

I dunno.. Paladin seems to give something good at almost every level..

It's kinda hard to stop dipping once you start.

I'd never play that ****** parody of the Paladin class that modern D&D has turned it into.

Does Larian screen every person who works on the game for maximizing as much cringe as possible? Apparently she's a lipstick lesbian whose favorite book series is His Dark Materials.

Warlock's are good due to Eldritch Blast, Hypnotic Pattern, and Conjure Elemental. Never used Wyll because I didn't want a second one in the tiny group.

Is it just me or do the companions never interact with each other in this game? It's like they only exist when interacting with the MC.
The most common trigger for them to banter seems to be leaving camp. Interactions don't appear to repeat, so if you want more of them you need to mix up your group composition.

It also turns out that I was missing a lot of them due to them being at low volume compared to background sounds and not having the camera near my party during many of them
