Probably due to having just started, but to me thus far the game has been pretty fun and it feels to me like all that I liked about Path of Exile but with that extra something, I especially like the random bosses I can find around the different maps, but, that said, the way I play these games is to follow the story, do every quest I come across, but especially continually load and reload a map to clear it all over again. I am playing as a Witch at the moment, and though the controls took a little getting used to, I am having a lot of fun with them now and the game in general, especially with the "flesh" atmosphere the game is pervaded with thus far.
I also am finding a lot of fun in mapping controls (I am attacking, "basic attack", using the mousewheel for example and keep the left click for movement) and the binding of the "gem skills" and all of how that works. I also forgot how Path of Exile allows to mix and match, so I am very glad they kept the system and am loving to "build my own class", in a way. I wonder how will they manage with later character entries as the Witch was closely linked to the Shadowdancer (the class I usually play), but time will tell.

I stopped playing the first game as I felt my character was shoehorned to being a good guy only, whereas I was playing him as a reluctant criminal of sorts, and that ruined my whole "hero's journey", so I stopped playing as it stripped me of my interest in the main story. I am less invested in the story of this one due to being cautiously optimistic about it, but thus far it has been going quite alright, will even be making a Monk to play Hardcore once I will have the drive to.
- Here to show my support for normal gaming.

Thank you for existing! :bounce:

BRUTAL. I saw PoE 2 make it to 34% recent reviews. Is it time for "souls like" combat to die in a fire?

Waiting for the rest of the classes tbh. None of the classes really scratch that paladin shield and sword itch so far, diablo 4 does it quite well since they added the Paladin.

Dungeons of Sundaria NOT RECOMMENDED

Doesn't look anything like Souls combat, but the dodge roll is certainly an instant no.

PoE2 isn't a bad game. But that SAWLS LOIKE COOMBAT and the 300 GB install base + NASA compute requirement for a stupid ARPG can only be justified by pretentious assholes that huff their own farts.

But that SAWLS LOIKE COOMBAT
none of the souls-like games actually play like demon's souls :(

Yeah. Dark Souls was the closest with it's slower pace similar to Demon's Souls, then it sped up for no good reason.

Better call NVIDIA that I want to start an AI company so they send me the hardware needed to play this game.
